CHAPTER 19

MARY'S POV-

The scene in front of me I will never forget. I see the dead body of Molly at my feet and my boyfriend holding on to his knees in the corner of the room drowning in his own tears.

"MATT! Your okay!" I yell as I run to him in the back of the small room.

"Get away! I'm a monster! Just look at what I've done!"

"Matt it's okay! She's not a good person. You did what you had to to survive."

"Mary it's not okay! I killed a person. I didn't know her or anything I just killed her. I panicked. I didnt know what to do!"

"What did you do exactly?"

"Well I grabbed to first thing I saw. And that was the bed."

"You killed her with her with her own bed?"

"Not exactly. I needed something for self defense so I yanked off one of the wooden legs as you can see...

I look over at the now three legged bed next to me as he continues

"She started to get really mad at me for doing that I suppose and started to make these horrible horrible noises that made me nervous and scared for me life."

Matt takes a deep breath and says,"Well she started to charge at me, fast. I took the wooden board in my hand and took a swing. It hit her square in the face immediately knocking her off her feet and her face started to gush blood... Everywhere." He said gesturing to the stained floor.

"It seemed as if something took over my body and I just kept swinging at her. I wanted to make sure she was dead I guess. I don't know what was wrong with me! I killed a person Mary! I'm no better than Leonardo! I'm a murderer."

"Are you kidding me? You are not Leo. You are no where close to that level of awfulness he contains. Matt you have feelings you killed a girl that tried to kill you that's legal. Maybe now we can get out of here."

"Do you not see what I've done here? Mary look at what being here has done to us. You killed a girl I killed a girl and we are just suppose to brush it off like its nothing! Like it's okay to murder a human being who has a life who has a family who hasn't done much to any wrong in the world. We have to get out of here before we turn into something like Leo and kill people for a living."

"I agree we need to escape. But how. How are we suppose to sneak past this psychopath? He seems to have eyes and ears everywhere."

"You know what Mary I don't care anymore. I just I don't care. I'm going to get out of here no matter what I may die trying but I'd rather my life end that way then just letting this man torture us and do nothing about it. So whether your going with me or not I'm leaving this man I'm leaving this house I'm leaving this town. I need to get out."

"I'm with you."

"Okay then. Let's make us an escape plan."

LEONARDO'S POV-

Serves them right. I can not believe she thought she could pull a fast one on me. I know Molly killed her boyfriend so why not just let her spend a while with his corpse. Maybe that'll teach her a lesson.

"John! John! Where are you?"

"Over here dad!" John called from Mary's room watching an episode of spongebob.

"What would you like to eat son?"

"Mac and cheese sounds good! Here's Mary?"

"Oh Mary's she's well she's taking a nap in the other room"
