CHAPTER 5
Leonardo walks towards me and whispers into my ear
"Say your safe with a friend and tell her not to worry about you. If you mention anything else ... You'll regret it."
I couldn't pick up the phone since my hands were kinda tied up. He saw I couldn't lift the phone to my ear so he untied one of my hands.
I was then handed the phone and heard my moms quivering voice answer the phone.
When she heard my voice I could here the relief she now had.
"How are you?"
"I'm fine. I'm with a friend."
"Oh that's nice how long will you be gone?"
I paused for a moment. I think I will be gone forever.
"Um I'll be home soon."
"Okay, stay safe."
I saw Leonardo leave the room. I guess he thinks the conversations over. I don't know where he's going or why but I take the opportunity. I faintly whisper into the phone
"Mom I need your help I'm held here captive. I don't know how far away I am but get me out of here."
I heard her screams and yells easily through the phone. I'm sure the neighbors heard them too. I quickly hung up the phone, I couldn't stand hearing her scream in misery over me.
Leonardo came back into the room with a broom. I guess he is going to clean up the mess from the glass bowl.
Before he did anything with the broom my phone was snatched from my hand by his viscous grip.
He then threw my phone onto the wooden floor of the bedroom. You could here it crack and shatter as it hit the wood.
As if it wasn't broken enough he took the broom and smashed it to pieces. What was once my phone is now a million small pieces of one.
"There all done." He said as he rubbed his hands together and propped the broom against the pink wall.
"Why did you do that?!"
"So we'd have no more callers interrupting us."
Now I'm completely isolated from the rest of the world. Ive only been in this mysterious house for not even 3 hours and my entire life is changed. It's amazing how life works that way.
I move my hair from my face with my free hand and felt a large gash in my forehead. I rub my fingers slowly over my forehead feeling numerous spots where there were once pieces of glass. My forehead was obviously missing several layers of skin.
If the scraps and gashes weren't bad enough I felt a gigantic bump in the middle of my head just above my forehead. Where is this from ... Oh I was hit with a shovel yesterday. I must look really rough.
"Would you like to go take a tour of your new home?" Leonardo asked.
"Might as well." I said as I let out a long sigh.
"Great. I'm going to untie your legs and other arm if you try to escape ... Just don't try." He said as he scrunched his eye brows and smirked.
"I won't trust me."
I was thinking of a plan of escape as he slowly untied my other hands and legs then I realized my mother will get someone to save me. I'll leave the hard work to her for now, I've been through enough for today.
As I tried to get up from my seat I could barely move my legs were in pain.
Every step I took felt like I was being constantly stabbed in the leg with a sharp object. I stumbled as I took a few more steps I grabbed my head in agony.
My head was pounding in agony. I didn't have the strength the continue until I felt Leonardo's arm around my side keeping my body upwards. I can at least push through the pain and at least tour the house I'm trapped in.
He helped me through the kitchen which I see much better know. It's not a pretty sight. All I see everywhere is molded food sitting on the counter and the sink piled mile high with dirty dishes. The floor looked as it had never seen a mop. The smell was the worst part of the kitchen now that I got a better whiff of it. It reeked like a dead fish thrown into the sewer then bathed in manure.
I tried to limp along as fast anywhere other than the kitchen. We walked down a hallway to the right of the kitchen.
I could still smell the stench but it was slowly getting better as we got farther. I looked down at the floor and saw the scrapped up wooden boards that creaked with every step we took. The wallpaper on the walls was peeling off in many areas. As the creaking continued we finally reached another room.
"This here is my room of the house," Leonardo said gesturing with his hand to the filthy room.
I walked in realizing the only clean room is the one I'm staying in.
I looked in the corner of the place noticing a mountain of what looked and smelled like dirty clothes. I felt like I was about to puke which is exactly what this room smelt like.
Nothing was neat and orderly and I'm pretty sure nothing is clean. I begin to feel my head pound again so I make my way to his unmade bed and take a seat.
Just as I'm trying to calm down a giant rat crawls out of the covers beneath me. I let out a massive scream as the rat scurries out the room. Leonardo stands in the doorway bursting with laughter at my misery. I sit down and put my hands over my face and take deep breaths.
I get up and dust off my bandaged and beaten legs and walk around the room. I see a door leading to I suppose a closet. I wonder if there's any clean clothes in here. I turn the knob but before I can open the door Leonardo runs over and slams the door shut.
"What did you do that for."
"You don't need to go in there."
"What's in the mysterious closet?"
"Nothing that concerns you." Leonardo gestures to come to a different room and I still want to open the door but I go with him out of the room. Ill check out the closet later.
We arrive at another room next to his but it's completely empty....
"I haven't found a purpose for this room yet so there's nothing in here."he explains.
I am confused yet intrigued by its emptiness. You could transform this into anything you imagined.
In the middle of my thoughts on possibilities of room ideas I was being tugged to go somewhere else in the house. I wasn't taken to a new room I was just back to my room.
He removed the chair that I was recently trapped in and put it at the kitchen table.
He showed me the bathroom attached to my room and I saw my face in the mirror and stepped back in shock.
I looked worse than I could have possibly imagined. Somehow I had a black eye and a giant scrape under neath my other eye. The gashes on my forehead had access skin barely hanging on to it, the gashes were crimson red and deep too. Blood was smeared all over, my face looked as though it was entirely red. I had tear stains going down my face but the worst part was my mascara was everywhere.
Kidding the worst part was the massive bump on the top of my head I looked like I grew a unicorn horn but it wasn't majestic it was bruised and gross.
I looked away from myself frightened from what I saw.
I heard Leonardo in the kitchen hopefully making lunch.
I took the time I had and ran to his bedroom no matter how bad my legs burned, I quickly located the closet he was preventing me from seeing and flung the door open.
The sight I saw I wasn't expecting.
