Childhood Illnesses: Y – she was brought into the system severely malnourished. Though she is putting on weight nicely, there are risks involving inadequate appetite, stunted growth, and slow development of learning and internal organs.

Biological Home: The biological father of the children left the home. There were clear signs of abuse and alcoholism, however, he has not be tracked down. The biological mother was found in the bathroom with a suicide note and a gun close by. It's been concluded that after the husband left she shot herself in the head. Body was found at least a week after the suicide after complaints from neighbours of crying coming from the home. (It is still undetermined why no one called the police when a gun shot came from the property). Parental rights from the father must be signed off before adoption is possible (unless the state decides otherwise).
Official Removal from Home: August 19th, 2015.
Foster – Home One: Middle-aged couple with two biological children. A month after placement a request for adoption was placed. Both Lauren and Camila were in good health and spirits. The adoption process was prolonged until the year 2016 due to the parental rights issues. The biological father was unable to be tracked down and the adoption was allowed to go through on April 9th, 2016. In May of that year, a week before the official adoption, the two girls were found outside of the city offices. The family fled the state and we have been unable to track them down in order to charge them of child abandonment and child endangerment. According to Lauren, her 'new mommy' was going to have a baby and said that they didn't need her or her sister anymore.
Official Removal from Home: May 6th, 2016
Foster – Home Two: Young couple with no children. Though it took more time than before, Lauren and Camila were quick to grow comfortable with the new family. Monthly visits were made and both girls seemed to be in great hands. The couple are loving and doing the best they can to help the girls grow in a stable environment. At the start of the New Year the check ins have been lessened. Next appointment to visit is in late-June.

The next chapter is being put up right after this. I just wanted to give you all an idea of what Normani and Dinah are receiving information wise on the girls. It's not a lot to go off of, but it does show some of the mental and physical abuse both girls have faced. They are not updated files since Demi would be doing the paperwork involving the final home, but I think it's important to point out that if Lauren hadn't called for help sooner then the girls may not have made it until late-June when their social worker was set to visit.
