"I no want to," Lauren whimpered as she stood between Normani's legs and allowed the woman to cup her cheeks as she demonstrated slow breathing.

"I know, angel. But Dinah and I would be bad foster mommies if we let you feel sad inside and didn't get someone to help," Normani explained, glancing at Dinah who was filling out a form for Lauren that they got at the receptionist's desk.

"I go home," Lauren said with a shake of her head, pointing at the office door.

"No, my love. First we're going to meet the doctor and have a little chat. After that we can go home," Normani said, tucking some hair behind Lauren's ear before continuing to cradle the girl's face.

"Please," Lauren sobbed lightly, hiccupping through her tears.

It made Normani and Dinah sad that the girl was uncomfortable, but they didn't have another choice. If Lauren didn't reveal what Mr. Rob did, he may do the same thing to another child, and they refused to let that happen, even if it was just speculation.

"How about this," Normani said, lifting Lauren onto her lap so the girl could koala bear her before she began swaying lightly. "You can sit on Dinah's or my lap the whole time. If you don't like a question, you can tell us and we will let Dr. Alveraz know that you don't want to answer it. We will move at your pace, Lo."

Lauren sniffled and nodded against Normani's shoulder, pressing herself a bit closer to the woman in hopes of stealing a few more minutes of comfort before the therapist called them in.

"All done," Dinah sighed in relief, shutting Lauren's file that had all the girl's medical information and placing it on the empty seat that currently had their purses and Lauren's comfort things on it.

The Poly went to give the filled out forms to the receptionist before returning to her wife and foster daughter. She heard everything, so she didn't bother to ask what was wrong. She simply took her hoddie (the one from the first night she took Lauren driving) and draped it over the little girl's back.

Not long after that did Dr. Alveraz step out from her office, a wide smile on her face as she called Lauren's name.

"Hi ladies, I'm Dr. Alveraz," she introduced herself as the mothers walked into her office.

"Thanks for getting us an appointment so soon. I'm Dinah," the Poly said, extending her hand out to shake the therapist's. "This is my wife, Normani," the two shook hands as well before Dinah motioned to the shaking child in her wife's arms, "and I'm sure you already guessed that this is Lauren."

"I had an idea," Dr. Alveraz joked lightly, looking at the green, wet eyes that were looking at her slightly. "Hi Lauren, I'm Dr. Alveraz. How're you today?"

The little girl shook her head and hid her face back in Normani's neck.

"Can you please answer Dr. Alveraz, Lauren?" Dinah asked, taking a seat on the couch with Normani while Dr. Alveraz sat across from them on a single.

"I good," Lauren said softly, untucking her face to see the therapist.

"I'm glad to hear that! Did you do anything fun this morning?"

"I played with sisters," Lauren said as Normani wiped her nose with a tissue.

"You have sisters? Can you tell me their names?"
