"Smells good," Dinah said, entering the kitchen with a basket full of folded towels and blankets to put away in the linen closet.

"Thanks. It's almost ready. Would you mind setting the table and getting the girls?" Normani asked, mixing the pot of black beans she had on the stove. She had made a simple dinner in hopes of getting both girls to eat. Beans with rice and some chicken that was currently keeping warm in the oven.

"Sure. Just give me a second," Dinah said, kissing Normani's cheek before hurrying to put away the towels and heading back to set the table like her wife asked.

As Normani began to bring food to the table, Dinah went to gather the three girls who were in the living room watching a movie.

"Dinner time, girls," Dinah said, smiling when she walked into the room to see Lauren sitting on the floor, her eyes stuck on the TV as she absentmindedly stroked Nala and Raider. Camila was asleep next to her with her head on Laker's stomach, Pooh Bear in one arm while she sucked on two fingers from her other hand. Ally was colouring in a picture, having offered her two new sisters to join in multiple times only to have Lauren say no and give Camila a look that made the toddler stop her eager glances and nodding head.

"Yay," Ally said in a quiet tone, aware that Camila was asleep.

"Here, Lauren, why don't I carry Camila to the table?" Dinah offered, watching the nervous girl try to pull her baby sister up into a sitting position. Lauren sighed, knowing that she would take too long to get to the table with Camila. She didn't want to make Dinah angry so she nodded and shuffled to the side, watching as the woman carefully lifted the toddler up and rubbed her back soothingly.

"Time to wake up, sweet girl," the Poly hummed as she began to go towards the kitchen, beckoning Lauren to follow her.

Camila whined and wiggled slightly, her still wet diaper bothering her as Dinah's arm pushed it closer to her rash.

Dinah took it as Camila simply not wanting to wake up, so she continued rubbing her back until the little one sat up in her arms and rubbed her eyes.

"Hey girls, are you hungry?" Normani asked, pulling out a chair for Lauren who climbed on. Dinah placed Camila in the chair beside that had a booster seat that allowed the two year old to sit at the table.

Lauren nodded slightly, noticing that there was plenty of food on the table for everyone.

"Alright, Mila, let's try to eat something, okay?" Normani said, grabbing the small bowl of mushy rice and beans, half of a banana that she cut up, and the bottle of warm milk that the little one was used to having for every meal.

Dinah began to serve Ally and Lauren, cutting up both girls' serving of chicken before handing the plates over.

Lauren eyed her food hesitantly, watching as Ally instantly dug in and began forking beans and rice into her mouth. Her food came from the same place, so it wasn't going to hurt her.

The four-year-old gathered her courage and took her fork, using it to scoop up some of the black beans. She cautiously put it in her mouth and slowly chewed it before swallowing. It tasted really good. So good in fact, that she began to eat less slowly.

Normani and Dinah shared a smile before turning their attention to Camila who had a little scowl on her face.

The toddler was definitely grumpy. She was tired, her diaper was wet, her rash was hurting, and she was being given food that she didn't know.

Normani spooned a bit of food and offered it to Camila who continued scowling before sighing and opening her mouth. She wasn't allowed to cause problems because Lolo said so. She had to be good.
