When we got into the control room, I walked up to the huge monitor and started typing away. Pidge was at my hip the whole time. I just looked down at her and smiled. I was able to get ahold of the base I was stationed at. I typed in my code and my commander popped up on the screen.

"Y/n! Its soo good to see that you're okay! We were all worried. What happened?" My galra commander wore a huge smile on his face. He was one of the people that taught me the most. He was there for me a lot. He was one of the ones that found me and took me in.

"Hello, commander." I nodded my head, respectfully. "On that galra information base, we thought it was vacant but we were wrong. I was attacked and not able to fight my way through. But I was saved." I smiled and gestured behind me. The commander looked and could see the other humans behind me. "Ohh I see! Well I'm so glad to see you alive and well! And also, I see that you found one of them." He smiled and winked at me. I smiled again and blushed a little. He knew exactly what shiro looked like. I showed him and the others at the base a picture of him, Sam and matt, everyday so if one of them found them, they would tell me.

The commander and I got pretty close. He became a really good friend when I didn't have one. After a moment I asked. "Wait, what happened to the other two I was with? Are they okay?" I asked, concern in my voice. "Oh yes, yes. They are just fine. They were so worried about you, they wanted to go back and fight them off. But the higher ups told them no. When Calista and Za got back from their mission, they freaked out." The commander scratched his chin. "We had to lock them in their rooms so they wouldn't go after you." He smiled and chuckled a little. I laughed. "Ha, that sounds like them. But I would want to do the same thing if it was them." "I know. I know, you would. And you are the wildest of the bunch!" He said and pointed a finger at me.

"Well I can't really argue with you there." I said and shrugged my shoulders. We both laughed again. "Please, commander, tell them I'm okay and that I will see them again." I asked. "Of course I will." He paused. "So I take it you probably won't be rejoining us now, well for a while at least since you found one of your friends." When he said that, he almost sounded sad.

My smile disappeared. I looked down.  "I'm not sure. I will keep in touch though." I smiled again. His face lite up a little. "You better or you will have Calista and Za coming after you and I don't think you want that." We both laughed. "No, not at all." After we laughed the commander spoke up again. "Well y/n, if I ever need to reach you, can I reach you here?" He asked. I looked back at allura and shiro. They both nodded, shiro smiled but allura did not. I turned back to the commander. "Yes of course "

"Great! Okay well y/n if you need anything, don't be afraid to call." I smiled and went to hang up. "Oh y/n." I looked back up at the screen. "I'm really glad you are safe. I was so worried." I smiled.

I didn't realize how much he cared about me. Right then I realized that over the pass year, he became like a father to me. Well what I think a father would be like. My father was never there for me like he was. My father was too busy chugging his six packs. I put my hand to my chest. "Thank you, commander." I smiled and nodded.

After that the call ended. I stepped away from the monitor and looked over that the others. Allura marched over to me. "You work with a galra!?" She screamed, fire in her eyes, wiggling a finger in my face. Shiro and the others ran over. "You never said you worked with a galra! You said a rebel group!"

I just stood there. "Yes and he is a commander in the rebel group. And also a very dear friend of mine." "But he is a galra! The galra are horrible people, they don't care about anyone but themselves! They-"

"Hey! That man, that galra saved my life! If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here right now! And not all galra are bad! The two he was talking about. Calista and Za. They are both galra and are both really good friends of mine and my comrades. I have gone on countless missions with those three!" I screamed back.

She stepped forward. "Not a single galra can be trusted! All they want is to destroy us all!" She screamed and threw her hands down at her side in fists. "Just because you don't trust them, doesn't mean I can't. They have had my back so many times. And I've had theirs. I trust them with my life. They helped me when I had no one else! So yes I work with a galra!" I screamed and I stormed out. I didn't know where I was going because this castle was so huge but I had to get out of that room. I heared some footsteps behind me. I looked back and it was Shiro and Keith, trailing after me.

I kept walking, stomping my feet. "What the hell is her problem? Yes, I get that the galra race took over the universe but not all galra agree with zarkon. Just because zarkon is evil and wants to destroy everything, doesn't mean every other one is like that." I paused, trying to keep my temper in check.

I took a deep breath. "If it wasn't for those three, espically the commander I don't know where I would be right now. I can't believe she-" "Y/n" shiro caught up to me and grabbed my arm, stopping me. "What?" I turned to face him. He paused. "Allura's entire race was wiped out by the galra. Her and coran are the last known alteans left." I froze. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. "What? Her entire race? Gone? Just like that?" I said in disbelief. He just nodded his head. I looked over at Keith and his eyes were on the floor.

After a minute, Shiro and Keith told me about how allura and coran were asleep for 10,000 years and how they were the ones that woke them up. When they finished, I stood there, trying to process what I was just told. I suddenly felt like an asshole. "Oh god, I need to go apologize. I didn't know any of that. I get it. But she can't just assume all of them are bad. Some are good and want to do the right thing." I said and looked at shiro. He nodded his head. "I agree we need all the allies we can get. Even if they consist of some galra." Shiro ran a hand through his hair.

"You're right." Said a voice down the hall. All three of us snapped around and saw allura standing there. I walked up to her. "Allura, I want to apologize. I didn't know the galra did all that. I'm sorry." She waved me off. "Oh you shouldn't apologize. You're right. I need to stop being so narrow minded." "But I dont blame you at all for hating them. I mean, they did all that." I looked down at my feet.

"Yes, they did but, you're right. We need all the allies we can get if we are to ever to defeat Zarkon. Even if they are galra." She looked at her hands. "So, a galra really did save you?" She liked up at me. I nodded my head. "Yes, at the base I was stationed at I had many friends who were galra. They always talked about how much they hated zarkon, and how evil he was. I'm sorry allura but when you started saying all that, I just snapped. I shouldn't have screamed." I looked at the floor again.

She smiled. "I'm sorry as well, I shouldn't have gotten so angry." "But I dont blame you one bit. We'll defeat him one day. " I paused and looked up. "We good?" She looked up and smiled, and nodded her head. I smiled back.

Right then lance ran up. "Didnt you say they taught you how to fight?" He said, pointing a finger in my face. "Yep. I trained everyday." I nodded proudly. "Wanna train with us?" Asked pidge as she ran up and grabbed my arm. "Yeah, let's see what kind of skills you got." Said Keith, smiling. I smiled. "Okay. Who's butt am I gonna beat up first?"
