Chapter Two

Mal woke up, slightly agitated, even with a good nights rest. All she wanted to do was to go back to the Isle. She knew if she went, she wouldn't have an easy time reclaiming her old territory, but to her, it was better than being here.

When she got out of bed the first thing she did was wake up Evie, who stretched, while she woke up, and the blue haired girl had a pleasant smile on her face,"Morning M."

The blonde smiled back,"Morning E, C'mon we better start getting ready, classes start in two hours, and I know the breakfast line will be long like usual." Mal muttered the last part in an irritated voice.

Evie got out bed, "Right behind you. Oh and can we start the dress fitting today, I want to start with you today, because I have a long list of appointments." A wide smile stretched across her face,"You wouldn't believe how many girls wanted a dress made by me!" She gushed, and Mal glanced over at her friend,"Good job E! I'm really happy for you."

Evie then pursed her lips, and asked Mal,"So did you make up with Ben?"

The girl in question quietly shook her head,"Not yet. After Jay found me, I wasn't in the mood, and just went to bed."

"Okay."

Mal and Evie had showered and changed. Evie sporting a royal blue dress with black flowers printed on it, and Mal a dark purple dress, both ended a few inches above the knees.

The blonde looked in the mirror and plastered her best smile on her face. Evie slung an arm over Mal's shoulder,"You know I don't think I'll ever get used to that blonde hair. It's too... plain, it just doesn't say 'Mal'"

Mal laughed,"Maybe I'll dye it back to purple one day." Evie clapped her hands,"Why not today! I can do it for you!" The daughter of Maleficent nodded,"Go for it. But after classes, I have a book report for English."

Evie agreed, and the two went on their way.

{Lunch}

The VK's were sitting at their usual picnic bench, and Evie was complaining about the latest fashion issue she was having. "The fitting times are getting so packed, I barely have time to make my own clothes anymore." Jay laughed,"As if you don't have enough." Evie smiled,"As if you could ever have too many clothes."

"Hey Mal." Ben greeted cautiously, as he walked up to the table. Mal gave him a weak smile," Hi."

The blonde girl fidgeted nervously," I'm sorry about yesterday. I-I was just stressing out." Ben smiled,"I know this is all new to you and everything, so if it's on anyone it's on me."

Jay watched Mal carefully, while she spoke with Ben. After last night, he wanted to make sure she was okay. So she wouldn't leave.

Ben didn't know what she was going through. He didn't understand what it was like, and why Mal was the way she is. Ben didn't love her for who she was. He wanted a princess, not Mal.

He was shaken out of his thoughts, when Carlos kicked his leg under the table. Jay jumped and glared at the freckled boy, who gave him a look. Jay glanced down, and realized he was clutching his knife and everyone was staring at him. The thief gave a nervous smile,"Sorry." He dropped the knife, stood up, and walked away.

Jay wished Mal would follow him, to comfort him, but he knew she wouldn't. Not with Ben there.

{After School}

Mal sat in the library alone, doing homework after school. She was writing stuff down for her Chemistry class, one she shared with Carlos.

She had just finished the fifth problem, when someone tapped her shoulder. Mal was so into her work, that she jumped from being startled. She turned around to Doug standing behind her, and he gave her an awkward smile. "Hey Mal, Ben wants you."

The daughter of Maleficent sucked in a breath, and nodded,"Okay." Doug left, and slowly Mal packed up her things, trying to stall as much as possible. Mal walked to Ben's newly inherited office, once he was crowned his father gave it to him, and she heard a faint 'come in.'

Mal pushed the door open, and surprised to see all the VK's and the former king and Queen there too.

Ben had a forced smile on his face,"Great now we can start."

The daughter of Maleficent stood next to Evie, and Ben started speaking,"I made a proclamation to bring the villain kids to Auradon. Now that you guys have settled and adjusted, I want to bring others here. I've already thought've a few. Uma, daughter of Ursula. Harry, son of Captain Hook. And Gil son of Gaston."

Belle walked up to her son and placed a hand on his shoulder,"Do you think you should do that so soon, or at least choose other villain kids?"

The young king shook his head,"No. I already gave the orders. They'll be here tomorrow, I just wanted to let you know in advance." He glanced at the VK's, watching their reactions. Carlos and Jay seemed a bit angry and Evie was also angry, but was trying to calm down Mal who looked furious.

The purple haired girl's eyes flickered green before she took a deep breath and stormed out of the room.
