[Name]'s POV

Gou sits on her knees in front of a pad of paper using a brush and ink to scrawl something down. Her hand moves quickly across the paper and when she's done I look down to see what she wrote. "48 days until the Prefectural Tournament," I hum to myself. "You're still doing these Gou?" Nagisa asks and I look at the other papers on the ground each with a different number of days until the tournament. "Pressure is what pushes people to do better," Gou smiles and glances back at the guys and I. "Pressure can also ruin people," Haru says and soon we're all involved in a conversation on pressure.

"Enough talking, more practicing!" Gou exclaims, kicking us out of the room. "Alright geez we're going," I raise my hands in surrender while walking over to the pool. "[Name] what should we do to warm-up today?" Makoto asks me while him, Haru, Rei, and Nagisa stretch. "Free day. Do what you want to warm-up though Rei, I want you to continue working on your butterfly stroke," I tell the guys. Haru nods his head before diving into the pool and starting his freestyle laps. 'Well that doesn't surprise me' I chuckle while hopping into the pool and grabbing onto the metal bar underneath the starting block. "Mako, can you time me?" I ask him and he smiles and nods his head. "Go," he says and I push off the wall and start my warm-up with backstroke.

"Our new tracksuits have arrived!" Nagisa grins, sporting the white and blue jacket with the word 'Iwatobi' printed on the back. "The jackets are nice but what is that...thing on the T-shirt?" Rei cocks an eyebrow as Nagisa shows us the mustard yellow shirt with the mascot and some other creature on it. "It's the secret Iwatobi, and since you were against putting it on our jackets it'll be on our shirts," Nagisa states and I sweatdrop. "Well anyways, let's get started," I tell them and we all walk over to the pool.

"I want to go over what everyone will be swimming at the prefectural tournament," I start and the guys look down at me. "Makoto, you'll be swimming both the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke. Nagisa, you'll be swimming 100 and 200-meter breaststroke," I say receiving smiles from both Makoto and Nagisa. "Haru, you'll be swimming-" I start but the stoic male cuts me off. "Freestyle," he states bluntly and I sweatdrop but nod my head. "Yes, you'll be swimming freestyle which leaves Rei," I grin, turning to look at my childhood friend "You'll be swimming butterfly."

"It's smart for us to stick to short distances for now since our stamina isn't that great," Makoto suggests then smiles slightly. "That leaves you four with the relay but...that's up to you guys if you want to swim it," I tell them, sending a small glance to Haru, remembering what Makoto told me that one night. "Wait [Name]! What are you swimming?" Nagisa asks me with a smile. "I'm still deciding actually. I know I'm definitely going to do the 400-meter individual medley but I need to mind my selection with the other races," I run a hand through my hair in thought.

"If you're doing the individual medley then you'll probably want to stick with shorter leg races," Makoto tells me and I nod my head. "I'll definitely do the 100-meter in backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle, and depending how I do after those I might go for the 200-meter in those four races. I'm not doing anything over that for this tournament unless it's multiple days because I don't need to pass out from overexertion in the pool," I chuckle with a nervous smile. "That's right you've done the 1500-meter freestyle before," Rei says and I nod my head. "Many, many, times but that race would kill me if I tried to swim it along with all the others in one day which is why I'm hoping the tournament is multiple days," I explain and suddenly Gou runs out of the room.

"You guys! I found something amazing!" she exclaims and holds up a flyer. "Iwatobi High Swim Club Summer Training from Hell on a Deserted Island...Hell?" Makoto questions while Nagisa and my eyes sparkle. "That sounds like fun!" we both exclaim with a dreamy look. "Their definition of fun is rather concerning," Rei mumbles while looking at the flyer. "This took place several decades ago when Iwatobi still had a swim club!" Gou tells us with a smile. "So what's your point?" Rei asks her and I purse my lips. "Gou...is your idea for us to train on that deserted island?" I ask her and she nods her head.
