Part 5: Seven Days

[Name]'s POV

"Haru! Mako! [N/N]!" Nagisa comes running into the classroom with Rei, waving around a magazine. "Look at this!" the blonde grins and lays down the magazine showing us different uniforms. "Uniforms?" Makoto asks and Nagisa nods his head. "I guess since we're all apart of this swim club we should get matching uniforms," I mumble while flipping through the pages. "[Name]'s right. Plus it'll give our club a more official feel," Makoto rubs his chin with a soft smile. "I think we should go with this design and color along with adding the Iwatobi insignia on it," Nagisa grins and starts rambling on about what the uniforms should look like.

"But that's not beautiful," Rei facepalms and I sweatdrop. "If I'm correct, Samezuka's design is a shark and a katana," Makoto starts and I snort catching everyone's attention. "Why is the image of a shark wielding a katana so funny to me," I giggle while the four guys deadpan but chuckle. "I don't think that's the exact design [Name]," Makoto smiles and pats my shoulder. "What if we put a penguin on ours!" Nagisa suggests and Haru quickly sketches the design out in his sketchbook. "B-beautiful," Rei stutters while we all look at the sketch. "A katana wielding shark is still cooler," I mutter and the guys deadpan and anime fall.

"Forget about matching uniforms for now!" Gou tosses the magazine down to the ground before holding out a paper with a training regimen on it. "A new training regimen?" I ask and she nods her head. "Yes, I've changed it up to fit in Rei since he's learning how to swim," she starts and pulls out a pink agenda. "And given that the regional tournament is coming up quickly...you only have one week to learn how to swim," she snaps her book shut and looks at Rei. The blue-haired boy mumbles something before laughing "Within a week? That's conce-" he starts but I cover his mouth and smile "He'll be able to swim by then."

I sit in between Makoto and Haru as we watch Nagisa go over breaststroke with Rei. "Ah the titty stroke," I grin and Makoto gasps and blushes while Haru's eyes widen. "[N-Name]!" the olive-haired boy stutters while I giggle. "What it's a pretty accurate name," I shrug my shoulders and Haru smirks slightly before hiding it. "Don't think I missed that smirk Haruka~" I tease and he narrows his eyes at me. "[Name]..." his voice is low with warning while a large grin stays plastered on my face. Haru mumbles something under his breath before staring back out at the pool with the faintest shade of pink on his cheek.

'Hmmm wonder what he said' I hum and turn my attention back to Rei and Nagisa. Nagisa holds Rei's arms as the blue-haired boy moves his legs like a swimming frog. "His form is perfect," Makoto smiles and Nagisa releases his hold and let's Rei try to swim. "But his swimming definitely is not," I sweatdrop as Rei sinks to the bottom of the pool before coming up, gasping for air. "It seems breaststroke doesn't suit Rei, does it?" I ask receiving nods from Makoto, Haru, and Gou.

~six days left~

"Six days left for Rei to learn how to swim," I sigh while shutting my locker and walking out to the pool. "[Name]!" I turn around to see Makoto waving me over. "Hey Mako!" I grin while heading over to him. "It's your day to help Rei," I smile as he stretches his arms, legs, and back, correction glorious back. "Yeah, backstroke should hopefully be a bit easier for him than breaststroke was," Makoto smiles and slides into the pool. "Good luck Mako!" I smile before laying across Haru and Nagisa's lap. "[N/N]?!" Nagisa looks down at me wide-eyed and with a blush.

"Shhh look Rei is about to try and swim backstroke," I point out while looking at my two friends. Makoto let's Rei go and the blue-haired male starts moving his body in the correct motion but just ends up sinking again. "This is hopeless," Nagisa anime cries before looking at Haru and I. "Haru! [Name]! Can you teach him how to swim?!" he gives us a pleading look and Haru looks away. "No that takes too much effort," he states and I sweatdrop. "And I thought that I was the lazy one," I mutter while sitting up so I'm on one leg each of Nagisa's and Haru's.
