The Creator's Tears

The battle had begun. Creator created boulders above the heads of many enemies, some were injured, some killed while some dodged or destroyed the boulders with their abilities. Neither Saberclaw. nor the special mutants behind him moved a muscle. They stood at a distance without changing even their expressions as their comrades died or got injured.

After half an hour of violent fighting, three against a thousand, they could only manage to kill a couple of enemies and wound about ten or twenty enemies. Skyhawk hadn't started fighting either, only Creator, Roselle and Joeret had started. Skyhawk was observing the battle as well, noticing the fighting style of comrades and enemies and deciding who would prove to be dangerous in the battle.

He noticed Creator's flaws in battle. He was wise and strong but he did not know how to use his abilities during battle very well. He fought using either brute force, or by creating boulders above the heads of the enemies. These were effective but if he were to utilize his abilities well, Skyhawk estimated that Creator could kill at least hundred enemies alone within an hour.

For a while he was able to keep track of Roselle but after a while, he couldn't keep up with her speed of changing faces. She changed her faces to look like the enemy and killed the Sabers, who believed she was one of them.

Joeret didn't seem to be using her abilities but her hand-to-hand combat skills were worth appreciation. She was agile, fast and seemed to have knowledge of martial arts. Skyhawk speculated that her abilites were not suitable for close range combat.

It seemed to him that the battle could be handled by the ten of them without any deaths or injuries, but soon he was proven wrong. As Creator slayed his enemies with rage, a hole appeared on his chest. As if someone had pierced it with their arms. His scream of agony filled the air and Skyhawk jumped to his feet, ready to fight. A tiny humanoid figure, so tiny that only Skyhawk could see it with his eagle sight, with a human sized palm clutching on to a pumping circular structure (the heart of a mutant), jumped out of the huge wound.

Creator's wound healed itself, thanks to his immortality. As the wound closed, Skyhawk caught a glimpse of a new heart being formed inside his body. His eyes moved to Saberclaw's face, who had an expression of worry and fear on his face.

He's probably scared of Cree's rage-filled face. Maybe he is considering defeat, thought Skyhawk. The rest of the team began their attack as they did not want to see their leader injured anymore. Skyhawk shot many Sabers with two side-arms. His aim wasn't as brilliant as Archer's, who was shooting down a minimum of three Sabers with every arrow, but it was good enough to injure most of his targets fatally.

The thing about Archer that fascinated Skyhawk was that she knew how to shoot mutants with hard skin. Some mutants had the abilities to harden their skin in some form, by just hardening or by converting their skin to stone, metal or even diamond. Some could even grow exoskeletons. Their skins and exoskeletons rendered his bullets useless, yet Archer's arrows pierced their bodies with ease and passed through their bodies as if they were made of gas, killing a few more after.

The pace of the battle had just increased by a lot, G.T. seemed immune to any attack as they all passed through him, making it easier to attack. Flamer roasted a lot of them and the grasped and threw many, pushed some back, etc.

The real battle had just begun and the battlefield resembled a party, with all the orange and pink (by the middle-aged, red clothed Saber) and red (blood) lights flashing and spraying all over. Not a happy and enjoyable party, but a rather gloomy, noisy, frightening and angering party with the Sabers getting killed and injured and Creator and the team getting injured and yet fighting.
