Confusion

Every few minutes I Felt Sofia's pulse to feel if she was still here. I couldn't risk a friend of mine to die just now because she was corrupted. Yeah, I said it right, corrupted. The term 'corrupted' meant that an elemental or any kind of species are consumed by one the shadows that I have encountered. If that meant anything then Aleczia returned and half of my team or almost everyone in my team is inactive and this crazy evil female maniac is running about. Few minutes later, Sofia groaned and desperately tried to speak." Josh, w-what happened? I feel really weak and tired."she said weakly."It's alright, Sophie-"she cut me off."Don't call me that I do- I don't like that nick name"she sounded annoyed."Alright,Sofia. But what happened was, you were  corrupted by a shadow and I think what Aleczia specifies you as a Dark Force" I explained. She lowered her eyes and she turned around on her bed. She started to explain,"Well ,after you left everything was going really good until one by one everybody started disappearing even JV. The others started disappearing like they left to hide from something. Ian and including me didn't really believe on them. Ian went out for a investigation mission and never returned anymore. I closed down the house and I returned to my home. Before I got home I was fighting some shadows and I was stabbed by one of their corrupted blades. I lost consciousness after that.". I fell silent still processing everything that I've heard. I guess I could comply to that sort of story but it doesn't add up. The time was six:thirty. It's only been a few minutes or it has been an hour. I heard a thump right then outside, Sofia heard it too. I decided to step outside the door. There was no one there but then vines took a hold of my left wrist. I unsheathed the blade but then another vine entangled my right wrist. I felt something on my wrist like it was being bitten. The grip started to harden it was really hard to move and I didn't know who it was who was doing this."Stay down" a voice said.
