Chapter 6
Sleigh Rides and Mountains
Ella
I’ve finally had enough of hiding in my room forced to hide my powers. I’m running away where I can be who I am without hurting anyone. Luckily I know the perfect place.
I’m leaving at night so my parents don’t see me. If they saw me leaving they’d kill me.
I exit out a side door to avoid the gates. That’s when I encounter a cute, stubborn obstacle.
“Well, well, well, a royal family member of Arendelle. When’s the last time anyone’s seen one of them?” “Look buddy, I don’t have time for this, I need to get to the North Mountain.” “Oh the North Mountain, for what exactly.”
The sun was starting to rise and I needed to hurry. I had no time for this guy.
“I’m running away. Now seriously move, I don’t have all the time in the world.” “It’ll take you a really long time to get there. It may take a few days. You may not have all the time in the world, but it’ll certainly take you all the time in the world to get there.”
I was starting to get impatient. What did this guy want? Why did he care about where I was going so much?
“What I’m trying to say is you may need a ride to get there faster. What do you say?”
If there’s anything I learned about strangers its, well nothing.
This guy had a point. I didn’t have a lot of time and the North Mountain is a pretty long walk. The only problem was, could I trust this guy?
“Fine I’ll go with you, but if I or we die, it’s on you.” “Don’t worry, you can trust me princess, prince’s honor.”
With no time to waste, I hopped into prince guy’s sled and we took off. We seemed to be going pretty fast, but I didn’t mind. I like fast.
“So which royal princess are you?” “Ella. Princess Ella.” “Oh the one with the ice powers! Cool.” “Well you see I’m not the only one in my family who has ice powers, my brother and cousin also have them.” “Oh”
“So my prince, where are you from?” I knew he wasn’t from Arendelle and I hoped he wasn’t from Weazeltown.
“The Southern Isles. Proud son of Prince Hans.” “Being his son isn’t something to be proud of.” “Sure it is. I’m surprised you still haven’t asked for my name.”
“I don’t care to know it that’s why.” “Well I’ll tell you it anyways. My name is Jason. Prince Jason of the Southern Isles.” “Nice to know Jay-Jay, now just shut up and drive.”
I couldn’t believe I was still trusting him. The son of a traitor, and I was easily taking a sled ride with him. What was wrong with me? I guess I’ll never know. There was something about Jason though that seemed different from his father.
He wasn’t a jerk. Or at least he didn’t seem like one.
Next thing I knew a grey furball tore through my thoughts. “What was that?!” I yelled. “It’s a wolf. And he’s got company.”
Behind us was literally a whole pack of wolves.
“What are we going to do?!” “Go even faster. Hurry Silver! Go faster!” “Silver? You named your horse Silver? How original.” His horse was a silverish- white color. “Look it’s not important right now. Prepare to jump.”
“Jump?...” “You heard me, jump.”
I felt a cold hand on my back. “Hey Jay-Jay, let go of me!” Jason refused to listen to me and threw me onto his horse. “Now like I said earlier, prepare for a jump.”
Now if there was one thing that horse could do, it was jump. Next thing I knew, I was laying in the snow face first waiting for Jason.
He grabbed my hood and pulled me up. “Hurry up Princess, we got a mountain to get to.” “What’s the rush?”
“You were the one who told me you didn’t have all the time in the world, correct?” I stared at him blankly. “Correct.”
“Then hurry up, we don’t have a sled now so we really need to pick up pace.”
Great. Thanks to my smart mouth, this is gonna be a long mountain climb.
