Y/N POV.
You were looking at your crush, they looked at you and ran to your direction you were so shocked so you stood as still as a statue, they were now directly in front of you. Both face to face and leaning closer and closer annnddd........
BEEP BEEP BEEP,
You screamed at your alarm clock as you threw it across the room for disturbing your perfect dream, it hit the wall and shattered completely. You got out of bed and did your morning routine, once you finished you put your uniform on, you ran across the room to your calander to cross yesterday off, once you did that you looked at today's date 23/6/2020, under the date number 23 you have written a while ago Patrol Over Sea!!!, you suddenly remembered that today was your big mission, you started screaming from excitement. After your little spaz attack you went to get the rest of your equipment for your mission. You grabbed your navy blue backpack and packed it with a snack, your phone, ear buds, notebook, pen and sunglasses. You put your bag over your left shoulders and walked to your door. You stared at it for a moment and thought, " come on y/n you can do this, you can do this, you have been training for 3 years for this, if they gave you this mission they know that you are obviously ready for it, you just have to open that door and go" you pushed the handle down and opened the door. It was still a dark, the sun barely peeking over the horizon.
You walked to your garage, yes I said yours because you moved out of your parents' house 2 years ago and bought your own its a 3 story house kitted with 3 bedrooms. Anyway, you walked to your garage, put your white helmet on and hoped onto your Ducati bike. You started the engine, reved it and was on your way to the air force base. All the way there you were thinking about one thing and one thing only and that is how nervous you were about this mission, for some reason you had this horrible feeling that something big is going to happen an not for the better.
The time you enjoyed home was well worth it, it eased your stress ready for this day. Yes, you were excited but this also could be a day of dread. Back to your previous point, your time off. You had booked two weeks 'holiday leave' to visit family and friends. You never mentioned your mission, you did not want them to worry or start convincing you to run away from the forces. The downside to the latter is that you would be fined or jailed. You came back home to rest for the remainder couple of days, you spent your time meditating a lot, it helps ease the mind. Although you loved your house, you didn't have the privilege of living in it all of the time, you moved around bases, living in barracks or camping out in various environments for missions or training. Your contract says 12 years as a pilot, you still have 9 left and once the time is up, you plan on continuing your piloting career and leaving the forces. You'd miss the life of high speed jet flying but commercial isn't so bad, right?
