Diary Entry 5 15/?/?
It has been a few days living in isolation, I cannot remember exactly how many. The few allies I have made along the way I have left behind. They have come looking for me on multiple occasions but using my skills in camouflage I have managed to hide without being caught. Using just mud, dirt, leaves and anything else I can find I became one with nature itself.
The NightFury 20.17 is still under maintenance, I am not skilled in that department. I am simply using the small facts I have been taught along the way and using some of the manuals and hand books in the box I found under the seat. It seems to be helping. It turns out the problem is not as large as I thought it was. It will just take some time due to the materials I have to salvage or search for. Some are simple. Some take a day to retrieve. About 65% of the time I have to sneak into Berk to 'borrow' some tools or equipment. Not once have I been caught by a single person, however once I was spotted by Meatlug, she is one of the rider's dragon. She was very sweet and I did have to stop and give her some attention before departing and going our separate ways.
I have managed to kill a few sheep for their wool to make bedding which has kept me warm at night. I have made myself a small campsite with a little hut to keep me dry and a fire for warmth. It's fine for now. The meat from the sheep lasted me a while. I kept the meat cold in a hole that I dug in the snow a distance away from my camp, luckily where I am situated it is dry and void of any snow. I have been eating wild berries, fish and anything else I could get my hands on. I never went hungry.
I have also been sampling fuel. I am familiar in the making of it now, I did have some failed attempts but I have finally gotten the hang of it. The only problem I now have is making enough, I am only one person and this task seems very unrealistic. Any little fuel I make goes right into the tank but me having to turn on the engine every so often to check different things does use it up slowly slowly. I feel as though it take two steps forward and three steps back.Y/N out
Y/N POV.
You set your diary onto the makeshift bed and stood up stretching, yet another day of repairing the jet. You recently checked the fuel levels and they have plummeted to 66% an all time low since getting here. You feel so dejected and depressed and there was nobody here to comfort you.
As you took your time getting to the jet your mind was anywhere but here, you thought about every worry you had, spiking your anxiety. A deep sigh stirred you awake, you must push yourself, you cannot let your mind play games, you need to focus. You kept telling yourself this almost every day.
When the sun was at its highest point, my hunger peaked and I decided to go back to camp to make myself some lunch with some of the left over fish I caught. Once I got back to my temporary home I was shocked at the state of it . It seemed as though a stampede came through and ruined the firepit and the stack of wood. You could not see paw prints or claw marks anywhere it was very odd. Sadly the dirt was not soft enough to leave any clues so you had to just put it down to some type of animal taking an interest in your camp site.
After tending to the mess and restacking the wood, you made yourself lunch and ate happily. Within the hour you returned to the jet and continued your handy work, checking the fuel gauge you noticed it went up by 3% thanks to some fuel you made today. You found out the extra components and ingredients other than fish bones, meat and oils was small amounts of sulfur. You had to extract this yourself, which took up a lot of time but you got the hang of it. You had written everything you had been doing in your diary so as to not forget anything along the way. You decided to continue repairing the main problem for the rest of the evening rather than focusing on the fuel situation.
The Twins' POV.
Ruff and Tuff were goofing around in the forest far from Berk, they were meant to be patrolling the island and surrounding islands for danger. Recently Berk had been receiving some mystery threats and it had put everyone on their toes, well almost everybody.
