"Just grab all the totes that say 'Christmas' on them and we will sort out anything we don't want to use this year." Y/N hollered up into the attic where her boyfriend was currently searching for their Christmas decorations.
"Babe, that's like, twenty different totes. That's a lot of decorations."
Y/N rolled her eyes, "Just do it Mr. Werewolf. I promise this year we will only keep the things we want, we will toss everything else."
Isaac tossed down the first tote. "That's what you said last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, and the year be-"
She rolled her eyes again, completely annoyed by her boyfriend's reminder. "Okay I get it, I say it alot but this year I really mean it. Besides we got a new tree this year and it's pre lit so we can get rid of the old trees and most of the nasty string lights."
"You mean the new tree that was too tall for our house and we had to 'modify'? Also what tree are we tossing?" Two more totes hitting the floor, one after another.
"Listen, that was the tree and I wanted so that's the tree I got. I'm just glad you love me enough to 'modify' it for me. And both of them I don't know why I keep them."
More totes tossed from the hole into the attic, "Because you're a hoarder. Hey remind me again why you never come up here to get the totes down? You're like foot shorter than me you would fit much better." And yet another tote fell from up above.
"Spiders and you're a werewolf which means you're stronger and can carry more totes at once. It would take me an hour just to get one down here."
"That's true." Another tote fell to Y/N's feet.
"Also you love me and never put up a fight to begin with."
"Also true." Isaac acknowledged, jumping off the last step of the ladder and dropping the final tote beside the others. He then leaned in, pressing a kiss to his girlfriend's cheek. "All of it downstairs now?"
"Unfortunately for you, yes. I'll help this time though." Y/N smirked and picked up the tote beside her feet as she began traipsing down the stairs, Isaac close behind with three totes of his own.
Once all of the totes were scattered around their living room Isaac sat back and watched as his girlfriend sorted through boxes. She may have been a hoarder but she was certainly organized about it. Each tote was labeled with the year the contents and been bought and the years they had been used. Their artificial tree had been erect into the corner of their living room with very little space underneath due to their modifications. Isaac had to admit, it was a beautiful tree and you could hardly tell they had sawed four inches off the metal trunk.
He hadn't been given the opportunity to admire it's beauty for long as his girlfriend soon put him to work. Hanging ornaments on the highest branches, draping garlands and lights around the upper moldings of their walls, placing mistletoe in every doorway of their home. Soon their house was beginning to look as if it were straight out of a Christmas catalogue, all that was left was their tree topper.
Isaac lifted the decoration from it's box and placed it securely on top of the tree before turning to Y/N and wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
"It's beautiful."
"It really is."
"How many totes are we tossing?"
"Absolutely none."
"I figured."
