Chapter 17|

Chapter Seventeen|

My hands came in contact with Ainsley's back and with such force, I pushed her. Fits of giggles that escape her lips were music to my ears. I ended up standing there, watching her fly up and down.

So beautiful. So innocent. No one deserved her.

"I'm tired!" She stopped herself with her feet and got off the swing. "We should totally do it again though."

I chuckled. "I think that's enough. You're such a little kid sometimes."

"I guess I am," She shrugged. "I don't think little kids do this though." Her fingers found their way to my chin and lifted it up, and before I had any time to react or even look at her, her lips pressed against mine. My eyes widened and my whole body froze. It was off guard and unexpected but when her lips started moving, I could help but let my eyes flutter and then my own lips moved in sync with hers.

Then I realized our whereabouts and pulled away. "We're at a park." I breathed out.

She smirked, hands gripping at the hem of my shirt. "I don't care." My eyes widened at her interactions. This was very odd.

"Ains–"

"Reyna, be my girlfriend."

My mouth was open, unable to close because my frozen body. I had to ask again, I probably didn't hear right. "What did you say?"

"I said to be my girlfriend." She repeated it, more slowly. She had a confident smile but knowing her, she was anxious for my answer inside.

Maybe this was good. I wasn't with May's plan anymore and Brandon did agree to this.

"Yes."

Her eyes lit up. "Really?" She jumped up and down before tackling with me with her arms.

Shrieking, I held her and caught my balance. I couldn't help but chuckle at her excited ness. "Yeah really."

"You're the best!"

I sat down on the bench with my hot chocolate with Hunter beside me. He asked me to meet up with and I agreed immediately. It had been a while.

"So what's going on? How's life going?" He asked me.

I shrugged. "Things are going good. I'm going to England soon so I won't be around for two days." I informed him and he pouted.

"Damn, two days without seeing you? That sucks." I laughed, hoping that he might've been joking.

At the same time, I hoped that he might've been serious.

"I want to ask you something." He told me and I raised a brow.

"Okay, go ahead." My eyes wandered around the area, looking at random people and then my eyes halted on two familiar people.

"Do you want to g–" he paused when I stood up and gasped. "Are you okay?"

"Follow me!" I told him while running across the street. Honks were ringing my eyes but I didn't care one bit. I had to find out if my were deceiving me.

"Slow down, Rey!" Hunter called out but I kept on going until I stopped at a cafe.

I looked through the window and turned out they weren't deceiving me. Through that window were Ms. Young and May having a coffee together.

Hunter was panting once he was beside me. "Okay, what are we looking at?" I pointed to the two girls at the table. "Damn, the blonde is hot!"

"That's a teacher." I informed him and he smirked.

"A hot one."

"I really hoped I was wrong. I can't believe May is seeing Ms. Young! She's not gay." I mumbled quietly but Hunter seemed to have heard.

"Oh come on, you don't know that."

"It has to be that! It's completely inappropriate for a teacher and a student to hang out outside of school. It's just not normal unless they were family." I stated, eyes squinted at the two.

"What if they are family?" He asked and I groaned. Maybe if he went to our school, I wouldn't have to explain so much.

I sighed. "May was talking about her non stop when she was drunk. If May does that when drunk, she got laid."

"That's so hot. I'd pay to–" His eyes met my glare and he scratched the back of his neck. "I mean...that's so inappropriate!"

"You're an idiot."

"Only for you." He cheekily smiled and I shoved him.

Okay so this story was originally on Hiatus and it still is.

But the hiatus is ending really soon. I wanted to end the hiatus with chapter 18 which is a big chapter that needs a bit more planning.

I wanted to get this out and out of the way. Sorry if it's so short. Didn't have much to write about with this.

I'm thinking of ending this story about chapter 30–35 so we have a long way to go. This series is a duology so this is the last book in the series.
