Chapter 3|
I walked out of the school doors, smiling brightly. It was finally Friday which meant the weekend. I was tired of all these test. It was the second week of school, like c'mon I don't need all of this.
I suddenly heard a honk that rung through my ears. People gaped and started whispering at what was in sight.
Holy shit.
Right there in front of me was Hunter, leaning against his cool ride looking right at me. He gestured to come but my idiot self was frozen. I pointed to myself, hoping it wasn't me he was calling. But sadly, my hope was gone. He nodded. People were now staring at me. Guys gawking at the ride as the girls huffed and glared at me.
Why me of all people?
I started to walk over. I could feel eyes on me. People at this school only knew me because of my legendary sister, the first LGBTQ+ person to come out ever at West Grove High. That was it. They didn't care about me or anything. They just asked how my sister was doing. It was quite sad, to be honest.
When I reached Hunter, he pulled me into a hug which made girls scoff. I groaned as I hugged him back. This was highly embarrassing. I tried to keep my reputation low. I didn't want to be popular or known at West Grove. But now, that might be possible.
"How are you?" He asked me, smiling brightly.
"Fine. Um, question. What the hell are you doing here?" I kept glancing around, hoping people were not staring but that was not happening at the moment.
"I wanted to hang out. It's been a while," He explained. I only looked at him in disbelief. He could've came in some rusty ass vehicle but no, he had to come in a red ferrari.
"You could've came without making such a big scene." He only grinned as he opened the car door for me. I groaned as I threw my bag in the back seat and hopped into the car. He went to the drivers seat and started the engine. Before I could say anything, the roof of the car slowly started to go down which made people gasp and also make me cover my face in humiliation.
How do popular people do this?
"Maybe I should just walk home-" I tried to open the car door but shrieked when the car started moving at a fast speed.
"Put on your seat belt. You're in for a ride." He smirked at me. I quickly fastened my seat belt and gripped onto the seat like it was like my life.
We were now on the road and soon, I let go of the car seat, realizing that this wasn't as bad. I glanced at Hunter, who had sunglasses on, was and was smiling as he payed attention to the road.
"Woo!" He cheered. I felt my hair being pulled back by the wind.
Almost like how Ainsley's hair was pulled back as she went up and down the swings.
Maybe I should let loose. I mean, this is Hunter. We always had crazy fun when we dated. I put my hands up in the air and cheered with him. "Woohoo!" I cheered. He furrowed his eyebrow as he chuckled.
I haven't had fun like this since school started. I could get used to this.
We were at the park we used to come to when we were dating. The one that was 2 blocks away from my house.
"So, how's everything going?" He was playing with my blonde locks. He always did this and it was extremely annoying.
"Great. I see you haven't changed one bit." I scoffed as I scooted away from him to keep him from touching my hair. He started to laugh. His laugh was pretty fucking funny. It was weird and it didn't really fit in with normal laughs.
