Tips on making a Warrior Cat fanfiction!

Clans

So, do you want to make a Clan that's not WindClan, RiverClan, ThunderClan, SkyClan, or ShadowClan?

Well, here are some things you should look into:

When deciding to make a Clan, please, make sure it makes sense! Think about your territory and prey. Don't make a "SquirrelClan" on the moorland, a "MinnowClan" in a pine forest, or a "HeatherClan" by the river. If you want to make your clan start with an animal, here are some suggestions:

•FoxClan- (These cats live in some sort of forest, and potentially meadow)

•HareClan- (These cats live on the moorland, or in a meadow)

•HawkClan- (These cats can live anywhere really, but maybe they live up high close to the birds, or spend their time in trees up high like SkyClan) 

•TroutClan- (A type of fish, if you didn't know. These cats probably live by a large water source or depend on water not just for drinking purposes)

Animal Clans not to use: 

•TigerClan 

•LionClan

•LeopardClan 

These were the ancient Clans in the Elder's stories in Warriors. Unless you want to write a fanfiction about the Tigers, Lions, and Leopards that lived in those Clans, don't use them. 

Say you don't want an animal Clan. You want a unique Clan. Here are some commonly used clans:

•FireClan

•MoonClan

•NightClan

•MistClan

•StormClan

The thing is, you can make these Clans better! Here is what I did:

•FireClan alternatives: SmokeClan, EmberClan, SootClan, SparkClan, AshClan, ScorchClan, BlazeClan, BurnClan, FlameClan, (though that is close to FireClan) and CinderClan. AngelTheWildWolf used "CinderClan" in one of her stories. 

•MoonClan alternatives: This one was tricky. I thought about looking up at the Moon. That made me think of BreezeClan, ChillyClan, and HoleClan, as in the craters on the Moon.

•NightClan alternatives: DarkClan, DuskClan, ShadeClan, EveningClan, and BlackClan. 

•MistClan alternatives: DrizzleClan, DewClan, GrayClan, MoistureClan/MoistClan, CloudClan, and FogClan. AngelTheWildWolf used "FogClan" in one of her stories.

•StormClan alternatives: Again, DarkClan and CloudClan, RainClan, SleetClan, HailClan, and FloodClan.

As suggested by ThalilaTheBest, if you're making a new Clan, you might want to name it after the founder of the Clan! For example, Thunder founded ThunderClan, River RiverClan, etc.

Tree type Clans:

BirchClan, MapleClan, OakClan, BeechClan, CedarClan, PineClan, HickoryClan, LeafClan, BarkClan, WillowClan, BranchClan, HollyClan, TwigClan, StickClan, BushClan, NutClan, AcornClan, WalnutClan, and much more. 

Meadow type Clans:

RabbitClan, HareClan, BreezeClan, HeatherClan, GorseClan, SwiftClan, GrassClan.

Forest type Clans:

Any of the tree Clans. BreezeClan, FoxClan, BadgerClan, TreeClan, SquirrelClan, BrackenClan, RoseClan, MarigoldClan, IvyClan, BrambleClan, ThornClan, BerryClan, DandelionClan,  and many others. 

More animal type Clans:

FoxClan, BadgerClan, HawkClan, DogClan, RavenClan, CrowClan, HoundClan, RabbitClan, HareClan, SquirrelClan, MouseClan, VoleClan, ShrewClan, MoleClan, RobinClan, DoveClan, BirdClan, BuzzardClan, FalconClan (depending on the territory) and much more. 

Fruit type Clans:

AppleClan, BerryClan, CherryClan, PearClan, PlumClan, and more. 

Herb type Clans: JuniperClan, YarrowClan, BorageClan, NettleClan, PoppyClan, MintClan, SageClan, DockClan, RootClan, SeedClan. 

Flower type Clans: 

PetalClan, PoppyClan, RoseClan, TulipClan, ZinniaClan, SunflowerClan, DelilahClan, SnowdropClan, LilyClan, and more.
