If there is anything that seems like it doesn't belong, please let me know. I'm rewriting this story and this chapter had a lot to cut out and rewrite. Unfortunately that also means this chapter is signifigantly shorter. Thanks for reading! ❤

"There's no way out of here!" I scream at the brick wall where the door used to be.

"We have to be missing something!" Gray yells, kicking the unyielding wall. "Maybe we can go out the window again?!" I watch as Gray jumps out the window for the dozenth time, only to come barreling through the brick wall. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

I sit down on the mattress which is currently on the floor and sigh, the fear completely gone and realization setting in. We're trapped and there isn't anything we can do about it. I watch as Gray attempts to punch through the brick wall, eventually giving up and collapsing on the floor from exhaustion. I walk over to him and pick him up, carrying him to the bed where I gently lay him down. I grab a blanket off the floor and wave it in the air like a sideways flag in an attempt to shake off all the dust.

When I feel satisfied that I got off as much as I can, I throw the blanket over the bed, covering Gray. I climb into the bed next to him and lay on my side facing him. We stare into each others eyes, neither of us blinking. Suddenly Gray reaches out and gently pulls me closer to him until our bodies were squished together with my head below his chin.

"Gray?" I say, feeling a little uneasy.

"Yes?"

"Wh- what are you doing?"

He gently squeezes me and lets out a slow deep breath from his nose which rustles my hair. "I'm just a bit nervous?" I remove his arm and scoot away. He sits up with a hurt look on his face, "What's wrong?"

"I- I don't know..." I say, rolling onto my back and running my fingers through my hair. "Gray!" I yell as I fling my arm out to grab him but accidentally smack him in the face.

"Natsu! If I made you that uncomfortable you sh-" I grab him by his chin and force him to look up. His eyes go wide and he jumps to his feet excitedly. "Woah! Do you think we can fit in that?"

I forcefully push Gray down and sit onto his shoulder "Only one way to find out!" I say as he hoists me up so I can pull the vent cover off the ceiling.

"Why am I the one holding you up?" Gray grunts.

I throw the vent down and pull myself up into the vent. "Because I found it"

Gray rolls his eyes and reaches up to take my hand I'm holding put for him. "I guess that's a good enough reason.

"I think we should go this way. It goes towards the hall."

"Do you really think this will lead us out of here?"

"It either will or it won't," I reply as I rapidly army crawl through the vent.

Gray laughs. "Well, at least I have a great view..."

I stop and crane my neck at him, the meaning of his comment finally dawning on me. "You perv. I didn't even know you liked guys." I continue crawling through the vent with Gray's face near my rear. The thought occurred to me but I decided not to. "I see light up ahead!" I inform Gray.

"It's probably the room again..." He says pessimistically as I peer through the grate.

"We're free!!!!!" I bellow, kicking out the grate and jumping down into the hallway. I wait for Gray to drop down before I grab his hand and sprint for the entrance.

"Woah! What about Erza, Lucy, and Happy?"

"We'll come back for them! I just nee-" I slam into something hard and collapse onto the gound. "Please don't be another wall..." I say to myself. I open my eyes slowly and find not a wall but a puzzled looking Erza staring down at me. "I'm so glad to see you!" I lunge at Erza, wrapping her in a giant hug. Gray joins in with tears steaming down his face.

Erza looks confusedly to Lucy and Happy. "What's going on guys?"

"We were stuck in our room for hours!" we whine.

Erza's and Lucy's confusion grows. "We've only been here for a few minutes."

Gray and I let go of Erza and give each other confused looks. "No. We've been here for three hours at least!" Gray informs them.

"No. We just now got our room key." Lucy dangles the key in the air.

"Piece! We're out!" I yell, walking out the door with Gray following closely behind me. "Let's go home. I'll do anything but," I motion to the building behind us and Gray nods furiously.

"Never again," he says with a shiver.

After a few minutes of walking, Erza, Lucy, and Happy appear behind us. "So what happened?"

"Oh it was awful!" I say.

"And it's a long story..."

"Tell us about it on the way to the station." Erza says with a sigh. "I'm going to have to see if I can exchange our tickets."
