I shove my bag into the overhead storage and then plop down onto the seat next to Lucy. "So, what exactly is this job?" Gray asks after he finishes putting up his and Lucy's luggage. He sits down across from us, leaning against the window and propping his feet up on the table.

Lucy takes a long sip from an iced drink and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand before answering, "We're going to guard a very expensive magical piece of history."

"Woah!" I yell excitedly, suddenly super interested in the job. "Is it some sort of weapon????"

Lucy laughs and shakes her head, "I don't know. The flier was really vague but there's no way they will let us touch it. Supposedly they only bring it out a few days every year for the public to see."

"If it's going to be out in the open for everyone to see, what's the point in having us watch it," I say deflatedly as I slide down into the seat. "Who would be brave enough to steal it in front of so many people?"

Lucy rolls her eyes, "It will only be on display during the day. At night it will be stored in a safe in the back. That's where we will watch it."

"So, chances are nothing is going to happen and we get paid for sitting around an old dusty storage closet."

"Y-yeah..." Lucy says, realizing how boring the job is probably going to turn out to be. "Well, the pay is good at least," she says in an attempt to make it sound better. "Just enough to split evenly and I can pay rent!" Just as she finishes talking the train whistles and lurches forward. I look to Gray but he's already passed out. I groan as I start to feel myself become queazy and lay my head down, trying to focus on not throwing up. I hope this ride ends soon.
