Cosma had already called the taxicab before we left, so it was waiting when we got to the gate. We climbed in, and the driver turned around to see us. He looked us up and down, then gave us a weird look.
"You two running away away from school together? Like some sort of Romeo and Juliet style something?"
I'm about to interject, but before I can Cosma takes over and replies, "Do you care, as long as you're getting paid?"
He shrugs, sticks out his lower lip a bit, and shakes his head.
"Where to?"
Cosma pulls out her phone and reads him the address. He puts it into his car's GPS, then we're off.
