Zendaya walked back into the living room. She saw Darnell sitting at the counter still so she walked back to her spot.

She ate some more of her salad while Darnell looked at his phone. After five minutes of silence he finally put it down.

"So Z, have you thought about having more kids?" He asked

Zendaya choked on her salad. She grabbed her water bottle and took a sip. Wiping her mouth, she responded

"I don't think I want more kids" Darnell was surprised "Are you serious? Z you've always talked about a big family" Zendaya sighed for what it seemed like the millionth time today

"I know. Things changed though. When I was younger I thought I was going to get married to this wonderful guy then we would have kids and all that. Life has a funny way of working out"

"You can still do all those things, Z"

"I know that, it's just something in my heart is telling me that I can't" She said, putting her face in her hands

Darnell gave her a confused look "What do you mean?"

"I'm afraid. For as long as I've lived on this earth, Ive fallen for two guys. Both of those relationships didn't last and Spen-Spencer" Zendays broke out into tears

Darnell rubbed her back "Honey, whatever happened with Spencer, I'm sorry. He's not worth your tears"

Zendays wiped her tears "Thanks, Darnell" "Anytime, Z"

Z's face contorted to panic "Z what's wrong?" Z looked around "Where's Ell?"

Darnell looked around also "Shes probably in the room with Claire. Let's go check"

Darnell and Z walked into the guest room together. They saw Claire reading Ell to sleep.

Claire looked up from the book
"Oh, hey guys" She whispered. She got up out of the chair and made her way over to them.

"Did Tom leave?" Zendaya nodded "Okay" He mother said

Zendaya stared at her child. She looked so much like her father. Zendaya remembered when her and Tom would have sleepovers. They would always snuggle together as they watched a movie. Zendaya missed those drama free days.

"Zendaya are you ok?" Her mother asked as she saw the look on her daughter's face

"Yeah mom, I'm fine" She said "Good"

"I'm gonna go put the salads away, be right back" Darnell said, leaving the two

"So are you and Tom on good terms now?" Her mother asked her "We are. We agreed that he would get Ell on the weekends"

"I'm glad everything is working out"

"Me too, mom. Me too" Zendaya replied
