~Nightwing's P.O.V.~

The car ride was long and... kind of peaceful. I silently thanked Jay for setting Damian straight, it was nice not having him grumbling about not wanting go to the tower, or how he would be fine alone. He was sitting in the passage seat beside me knocked out cold. When the tower came into sight I pulled over on the side of the road sharply, knowing I would have to have to wake Robin before introducing him to the team. They didn't need to know about his recent sprawl with Tim, it might have started their partnerships on a bad foot. Giving him a little slap across the face, Damian jumped up and thrashed around a bit when the seat belt wouldn't let him get out of his seat.

"Let me go!" The young assassin screamed at nobody in particular, seeming to not fully understand where he was.

"Calm down Damian, you're in the Spyral-Mobile" I tried to reassure him, earning a snort in return.

"Spyral-Mobile?" He gave me a hollow laugh with an expressionless face. "That's worse than father naming everything 'Bat'."

I held in a small chuckle, simply shaking my head and pushing down on the gas pedal, covering the last mile to the tower in 3 minutes.

Parking the car in front of the tower I noticed everybody out front, awaiting our arrival. I silently hoped we hadn't kept them waiting too long, feeling guilty for coming late. I looked over at Damian once more, saying my final words to him until he met his new teammates.

"Here we are."

~Raven's P.O.V.~

I had been told little about the new member, only that he was the son of Batman and his name. Damian. I suspected he was human like the bat, but then again my own mother had been human, along with Jaime and Garfield's parents, so who knew for sure. When he came close I closed my eyes for a few moments and opened them once more to check his aura, there was yellow and purple, purple being the dominant colour. A colour that I hadn't seen dominantly on anyone I knew, except for me. We had one thing in common at the very least.

"Damian, this is Koriand'r, Jaime Reyes, Garfield Logan and Raven Roth." I tuned back into the conversation when I heard my name, giving the new Robin a small nod in greeting. "Team, this is Damian, your new member." Damian didn't look pleased at all with this whole thing and would take some time to warm up to the team. Jaime and Garfield gave their greetings, a high five from Gar being ignored by Robin.

There were a few moments of silence before Damian gave gave me an almost confused look, possibly wondering why I wasn't as bubbly as the rest. I faught the urge to slip into his mind and try to read his thoughts, that of which I'd never done before, but decided against it, respecting his privacy.

Jaime's alien attachment made a few strange noises, resulting in a dry laugh and a quiet comment. "Calm down amigo, I also think he's dangerous but give him a chance." He cast a glance over at Damian, who narrowed his eyes in return.

"You want to see dangerous? I'll give it to you Reyes." Robin snarled making me flinch a little.

~Robin's P.O.V.~

I threw the first punch without knowledge of my enemy. My first mistake.

After a few moments of battle I was able to get behind Jaime and knee him in the back, knowing I wouldn't be able to get my foot up high enough. My second mistake.

I winded him momentarily, but earned a few squeaks and beeps from his bug. I thought nothing of it and stood back in a battle stance, thinking I was ready for what came next. Spoilers: I wasn't.

The bug covered Jaime's entire body, and a big laser cannon appeared. Before I know it I was on the ground in agonizing pain. My first instinct was to stay quiet and act strong, but I did the exact opposite, I was screeching in hopes that it would somehow drown out the pain.

Moments later I heard a voice speaking directly to me, which quieted me down instantly. "I can help him" I felt something pushing itself into me, I tried to fights against it but simply didn't have the mental power at the moment. Stop that, I'm trying to save you. I brought down the mental wall and let her in my mind. What I saw could only be discribed as hell. There was fire everywhere, then there was an entity. He was huge, red skinned, and... slightly terrifying.

Then, it stopped. The pain was gone, as was the vision. I had so many questions, but I was carried away to the medical aid room before I could say anything. Exausted physically and mentally I let sleep take me. Only to have dreams of the foul beast.
