The morning winter breeze chilled me to the bone sitting on the roof of the titans tower. At the time I didn't notice, my senses were focused on the city below taking in the breath taking view I'd seen every morning since the team was formed. The sun rising across the water, its vibrant pinks, oranges, and reds mixing together perfectly, glorifying the big flame filled star called the sun. I closed my eyes to savor the moment, no matter how many sunrises I had seen, it never got old.

I hear the light thump of the door to the stairwell behind me and tense up slightly, ready to fight if needed. Hearing footsteps come closer to me I feel through our bond that it is Dick coming to admire the sunrise. I opened an eye to peek over at Boy Wonder, putting down my hood to reveal my face. He sat down next to me and looked outwards, the silence between us peaceful and calming, the best part of the day for me.

I opened my other eye and looked out again, the sun rising higher in the sky and the beautiful ocean of colours changing into a beautiful blue, reminding me of Robin's eyes. It was rare that he ever had his mask off, he even slept in it. Every time I had asked him to take it off he would refuse, his excuse being secret identity. I would always roll my eyes when he said that, the way he implies it is like a mask on his eyes could help with identity.

Through our bond I could sense a bit of anxiety from Boy Wonder, implying he had something on his mind. I look over at him with blank face, my head tilting slightly to the right, making my dark violet hair shift slightly.

"Come on, tell me whats on your mind Boy Wonder" I tell him, looking deeply into his mask, imagining his eyes in place of his mask.

I had been trying to hide it, but with Raven it was impossible to hide anything. Slade was the thing on my mind, even though we had defeated him before, he could still come back at any moment, real or fake. There was also something else deep within my mind, but that didn't matter as much.

"Just Slade," I answered glancing away momentarily to the side, finding myself silently hoping for one of the many criminals to cause havoc in Jump City. Maybe Johnny Rancid or Doctor Light, someone small enough to end this conversation, but not big enough to take hours of fighting.

"He could be anywhere..." I turned my attention back to Raven, staring deeply into her eyes, keeping my lips in a tight line. We remained silent for a long few moments, Raven seemed to be studying my emotions. Nodding slightly after a minute or two, a sign of her belief in my words.

"The others should be awake by now," Raven informed me, tearing her gaze from me and putting it behind her at the stairwell door. Using her hand to help, she hoisted herself up and made her way to the roof entrance into the tower. I watched as she left, hopping to my feet with one last glance at Jump City below.

"You coming?" I heard Raven question, turning my attention to her, standing in front of the door. Nodding and trekking over to the half demon I allowed a small smile to form, ready to face the duties of the day.
