Are you lonely?

Is everything ok?
Everything is fine.

Is that how the conversation happened? Well they said everything is fine, what am I supposed to do? If you know in your heart that they arent ok, and you still let them walk around broken and alone, then you're no better than the reason they're sad. Sometimes you just have to pull them to the side and say, I know you're not ok, if you wanna talk about it, talk to me. If you dont, then I'll do the talking and you can just listen so you don't have to be by yourself but you can also sorta be alone without being alone.

Because sometimes the best thing is to feel the presence of someone who understands without being smothered and overwhelmed with too much. So talk to that person and keep their secrets, tell them it's going to be ok, tell them your gonna stay until it is ok and actually stay there. Don't go around telling people who don't trust easy to hand it over to you in 5 minutes. Sometimes it takes weeks or months or years.

Because fine never really means fine.
