I walked inside the house to see Daniel sitting on the couch. He looked up and walked up to me. Jonah walked behind me and grabbed my hand.
"Where were you?" Daniel asked glaring at Jonah.
"I was just walking around with Jonah. We went to the park and just talked." I said and smiled at Jonah.
"Oh well let's go to the mall of something. Just the two of us." Daniel said and wrapped his arm around my waist causing Jonah to let go of my hand.
"What about we bring Jonah with us?" I said grabbing his hand again.
"Nah I think it should just be the two of us." He said and then whispered in my ear, "Remember you said you would do whatever I wanted."
I let go of Jonah's hand and got out of Daniel's grip. I looked down and sighed.
"Fine let's go."
I walked up to Jonah and whispered, "Meet me at the grove in like an hour."
He nodded and me and Daniel walked out and ordered an uber. We got in the uber and got dropped off at the grove. We were walking in silence until I spoke up.
"Daniel why are you doing this?" I say looking down.
"Doing what?" He says moving closer to me.
"Making me be with you. Why would you want me?" I say still looking down.
Daniel lifts my chin up and looks at me.
"Because you're beautiful and you are just everything I've ever wanted in someone. You're perfect. I guess I'm just jealous of you and Jonah. It just hurts to see someone I love with someone else." He says and looks down.
"Hey. I'm sorry Daniel. It was hard. I really liked you too. And Zach. I don't know why I just felt something about Jonah that I've never felt with anyone else. I'm really sorry Danny. We can still be best friends though." I say and smile.
He looks at me and I hug him. He hugs me back. We pull away and I smile. We share eye contact for a few seconds and he leans in. I back away a little but he keeps going.
"Umm...Daniel. What are you doing?" I say backing away.
"Just for today? You said you would do anything." He said.
"Daniel we literally just had a conversation about being just friends. I can't I told you."
"You guys aren't even dating though."
"Yeah but I'm being a hoe. I've kissed Zach and Jonah. I can't just kiss you now and pretend it's nothing."
"Baby girl I would never call you a hoe. Just today. That's all."
He starts leaning in again and I still back away.
"Daniel I'm sorry but I just can't."
"You're acting like you and Jonah are a thing. Nobody will know about this. Cmon nobody gotta know." He says and winks.
I laugh and sigh. I still have a little bit of feelings for Daniel. It's like I wanna do it but at the same time I don't because I also like Jonah. I look up and we lock eyes. God I just wanna kiss him. I feel like such a hoe. Whatever. I lean in and we kiss. We pull away and go to to the back of a store where nobody goes. We kiss again but this time it's a full make out session. He tapped my legs signaling me to jump so I did. I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his waist. He grabbed my butt which made me gasp. He started dragging his hands up and down under my shirt and I started running my hands through his hair. I started smiling into the kiss and so did he. We finally pulled away and we just locked eyes. I smiled and blushed. Then my phone went off. Daniel put me down and wrapped his arms around my waist. I grabbed my phone and saw a text from Jonah.
Jojo♥️-Im here baby where are you?
Oh God. What do I do. I completely forgot that I told him to meet me here.
Chlo-Im in Tillys just meet me where all the penny boards and skate boards are.
I turned my phone off and looked at Daniel.
"Um Daniel. Jonah just texted me and told me he was here so can we just act like this never happened and this can just be between us?" I said.
"Why is he here? Fine Ill just pretend it never happened. But we will finish later." He said and winked.
I looked down and blushed. He lifted my chin up.
"Don't hide your blush. It's hot." He said.
We started walking towards all the boards until we saw Jonah and Jack. Why did he bring Jack?
"Hey Chloe." Jack said smiling and holding out his hand to clap me up.
"Hey noodle head." I said clapping him up.
"Wow I've never heard that one before." He said playfully rolling his eyes and laughing.
"Yeah I'm pretty creative. So how come you're here with Jonah?" I said.
"Oh he just asked me to come so I said yes." Jack said.
"Bro what? That is not true! You kept on bugging me to come. You were like 'cmon bro please I wanna go. Don't leave me here with Corbyn Christina and Zach.'" Jonah said mimicking Jack.
I laughed a little and so did everyone else.
"I don't sound like that." Jack said rolling his eyes.
We all stood silent for a minute until I spoke up.
"So how about we all go eat?" I said fake smiling.
"Yeah sounds good!" Daniel and Jack said.
I looked up to see Jonah looking at me confused. I can tell he noticed my fake smile. I just don't know about my feelings anymore. I don't want him to know about anything that has happened. I just looked back at him and smiled again.
"Alright then lets go." I said still looking at Jonah.
I turned around and started walking behind everyone. Jack and Daniel were talking the whole time and Jonah came and walked next to me. He stopped me and we stopped walking for a few seconds so that we were far behind Jack and Daniel.
"Are you okay?" Jonah said concerned.
"Yeah Im fine." I said looking down.
He lifted my chin up.
"No you're not. I can tell. What's wrong?"
"Nothing Jonah. Trust me I'm fine."
"Chloe please tell me. I know you. You're not fine and I know it. You can tell me anything. Does this have to do with Daniel?"
I looked into his eyes.
"No Jonah. Please just trust me okay?"
We just stared into each others eyes for a minute. I can see in his eyes that he knew I wasn't fine. I can't tell him what happened though. He looked into my eyes and then down to my lips. I knew what he was gonna do so I looked away and saw Daniel and Jack looking for us.
"Um I think we should catch up with the guys." I said and started walking.
Jonah caught up to me and stopped me again.
"Chloe. I know something is wrong. It hurts md to see you like this. Can you please just tell me. If it's personal then-"
"Jonah. I wanna tell you so bad and I wish I could but if I do, you probably won't talk to me again. After this you probably won't talk to me anymore any way. I don't wanna hurt you Jonah. I really like you and I don't wanna see you hurt."
"Chloe. I won't stop talking to you. I really like you too and I care about you. I hate seeing you like this. Please. I wanna help you."
He grabbed my hands and we shared eye contact. I don't want him to be hurt so if I tell him what happened it's just gonna ruin our friendship. Why did I have to do that. I wish I never did any of this.
