Dark POV

Leaving y/n was hard as a dick.

But I wasn't leaving forever, I knew I'd be back soon, but it was still hard. And it was for her I was leaving, so I had to.
I could tell she didn't want me to leave but she'd be so happy to finally see me. And in order to do that, I had to go home. No, not Mark's head, that cesspool is not my home. That's my prison. It took quite a bit out of me to break my connection with him to be able to get here. But I couldn't break it fully, just enough that I could slip into the place that is my home.

I stood, looking out to the city in the distance. The bright red-orange glow of the sky was always a nice contrast to the grayed out buildings. The city of Dormoor, by far the largest city in the demon realm. Usually, the demons that live there are in training. But also, most of the dangerous ones lurk around, some no good, some considered to be warriors.

Trailing my eye eastward, the sky color fades along the color spectrum and turns into a dark shade of green. Here there isn't really a name for it, it's been come to be known as The Frozen Eastfields. That place what humans would call a desert. Except it isn't quite a desert. Barren land, black sand and freezing cold wind. The only 'land' there were, were frozen outcroppings. They looked like flames of ice. Still and sturdy, who knows how long they've been standing there. That was home to some of the worst of our kind. And yes, that's my home as well. Well it was my home, I'm not welcome there anymore, in fact, I've been banished from the demon world for about 6000 years. Which I think accounts to 6 human years. The time here goes much faster that the human world, but the sense of time feels the same.

I drifted my gaze from my once homeland over the other smaller cities till I saw the far outskirts. I couldn't risk anyone seeing me here, but I can't teleport. So I took my time, hiding in the shadows of the most remote areas of the city till I reached the outskirts. The outskirts was always peaceful to me. Merriston, it used to be peaceful, once. That's the legend at least, I've never seen it like how they say it used to be. Nor have I ever met anyone who can say for sure if it was like that or not. Ever since I've known it,its been the same and that's for tens of thousands of years.

Where most others found it unsettling since it was so close to the border, I found it nice. The sky reminded me of her though, a bright purple. The area was mostly black and dark. This place was once populated but as soon as it stared dying, every in left and moved to other places to live mainly cities.
But I loved this place, down to the dead trees. I say dead, really it's kind of a disease. But not really a disease. They're affected by being this close to the Realm of the dead. It's not hell nor anywhere close to being heaven.

Then there were the other cities, like Vallenhiem, where 'soldiers' train. Try all they might, they'll never be able to fight off the angels. And other places, like Red Mill. It's as the name suggests, always red, as if blood is constantly in the air. And Swynlake, every young demon is scared of those waters, it's so deep. I don't even know if it has a bottom. All you can see is black. Actually, I think most demons, on it's own, are scared of that place, much more of the creatures living in those black depths.

After taking in the scenery, I made sure that no one could see me. Now I just had to wait for this moron to show up.

He should've already been here. He left before me. He's supposed to be here already. I just hope he doesn't let anyone see him. That fucker is always so wreckless, his carelessness got us both banished.

But, I've come to 'like' certain things about him. There's not much but, he's alright.

I was pulled from my thoughts with the all too familiar acidic smell that lingered on him. But I didn't see him. That's another thing I don't like, he plays way too much.
