3 1/2 months earlier
It was a normal peaceful day out my family and I were about to leave for our yearly vacation. This year we were going to Australia and I was ecstatic.
I pulled my hair into a simple pony tail and made my way downstairs. As I got downstairs I found my parents waiting patiently for me. I gave them a big wide smile, which they gladly returned.
"Ready to go Hun?" My mom asked
"Yep." I said popping the 'p'
My Father then spoke "Great let's go." He then picked up our suitcases and took them to the car
It may seem like I have a perfect family when in actuality it isn't so perfect. At least it isn't perfect for me. My parents are always working, hardly willing to leave their desks for two minutes. So this is a little change from their busy schedules. Also being an only child isn't exactly a day on the pinic either. I hear people complaining how anyone their sibling is. I wish I had a sister or brother to complain about. But I don't so I suck it up and make the best of it.
While on our drive to the airport I put my headphones on to listen "Train". I silently smiled as I hummed along to the song. Just as I was about to close my eyes the car came to a stop. I looked out the window to see that we had arrived to the airport. I quickly jumped out of the car to help my dad with the luggage.
After about an hour of waiting we finally boarded our flight and were on our way.
The flight was long and boring but it was worth it becase when we got to the hotel my jaw dropped. It was huge! There was a huge swimming pool, beautiful paintings etc.
"So do you like it?" My father asked from behind me
"Like it?" I looked at him as if he were a lunatic "I love it!" I exclaimed throwing my arms around him
He chuckled "Glad you love it sweet heart." He kissed my forhead
Maybe this won't be so bad
I did not how wrong I was
