His Unhealthy Obsession

Chapter 6

Lianes P.O.V

One week later

"Ashes to ashes and Dust to dust. We confine the remains of our brother Alan to ground. As his spirit leaves this earth and returns to his creator, we say our final goodbyes." The priest says as he closes his bible

I look at my father's coffin as it's lowered into the ground. I couldn't hold back the sobs that left me as my mother held me close to her.

She looked at me with a sad smile and wiped my eyes "Don't worry baby, he's in a better place now." She kissed my forehead and lead me back to the limo. I looked at the passing scenery as we made our way home.

"Where do we go from here?" I asked my mother

She let out a heavy sigh "No where to go but forward. You know your father would scold us for crying over him." I laughed knowing that what she said was true

When we got home mom went to start dinner while I changed. Just as I was about to leave the room my phone buzzed. I saw a message with a photo attachment. The message said:

'Don't cry babe tears don't suit your lovely face. You look lovely in black btw ;)'

I nearly dropped my phone at what I saw. It was a picture of me and mom leaving the grave site. But then for some reason I felt angry. How dear this person stalk me? How dear they interrupt my period of grieving. I decided to type back

'Listen here asshole I don't who the fuck you are but leave me the hell alone.'

I sen the message. Almost immediately i got a text back

'Tsk tsk I expected better from you Liane.'

I threw my phone on my bed in anger and made my way downstairs trying to clear my mind from my jumbled thoughts

"Everything okay honey" My mother asked looking concerned

I gave her a fake smile "Everything's fine"

No everything is not fine
