Chapter 6 – Traveling to Helms Rock

“I’ll come back for you, I promise.” I heard his voice ring in my mind.

“Seiryu!” I shouted as I woke up and looked around. It would seem that I was inside my room in the airship. I could feel it flying and moving as I stepped my feet on the steel floor underneath me.

It just hit me now that we had a mission to go to and our destination was at Helm’s Rock Desert. Captain Isley sent us there to investigate the abnormal darkness behavior that has transpired there and we were also sent there to look for that mysterious Rogue.

Wasn’t so mysterious anymore because all of us, aside from Dilan, had a huge hunch that it was him; it was the person that meant most to me.

It still bothered me though because if it indeed was him, he would be devastated if he found out that I was engaged. It wasn’t like I wanted it to be this way but my father wanted Dilan’s family and ours to be connected so our marriage was their idea.

How I wish I could escape this fate.

I remembered now that I shouted his name once again. Did I dream about him once more? I had a feeling that I did because I heard the phrase he uttered to me before he disappeared right in front of my eyes.

“Help me.” I said as I touched the familiar platinum chain attached to my wrist; the chain that he had given me 2 years ago.

I heard a knock on my door and slowly I got up to go and check who it was. I wore a bright yellow shirt with a short black skirt that had reached up to my thighs and black boots to match the color of my skirt. My metal staff was strapped on to my waist as usual.

General POV

Yue opened the door of her room and immediately who she saw was Dilan. His short jet black hair and grey eyes were a prominent feature for him as he smiled at her. He was wearing a gray leather jacket with a black shirt on the inside and he had black jeans and brown sneakers. His dual swords were folded on the sheath attached to his back.

“Oh Dilan, it’s you.” She said as she got out of the room and walked on the hallway. Dilan walked right beside her.

“I came to see my fiancé.” He said to her with a smile. “Is that a bad thing?” he asked her as he had a worried look on his face.

“I didn’t say that it was a bad thing.” She replied to him as her thoughts drifted away to someone else. The two of them walked on the hallway as they made their way to the central lounge.

“You’re still thinking about him are you?” he asked her. He seemed to be jealous.

“What?” Yue then faced him. “N-no I mean…” she said as her face turned a bit red upon the thought of her thinking about Seiryu.

“No use lying to me.” Dilan replied as he had a somewhat irritated look on his face.

“I’m sorry Dilan.” She said to him as she sighed. “It’s just that.” She said as she felt the platinum chain on her wrist. “I miss him…” she thought to herself.

“Yue.” He said to her. “He’s not coming back.” He said to her and this fueled a bit of anger from inside the azure haired girl.

“Don’t say that…” she said as her eyes looked a bit angry at him.

“And even if he did, there’s nothing to come back to.” Dilan said to her. “You are promised to me. Our families have agreed on this!” he shouted as he tried to speak in a proud manner.
