Chapter 10 – Blending In

Seiryu leaned his back against the wall beside the window of the room he was staying at. He had a calm look on his face despite the fact that he was already a fugitive. The sun rose above high in the sky as it was already the next day. A knock on the door was heard by him afterwards.

“Come in.” he said calmly and once the door had opened, it was the silver haired girl once more with a plate of food on her hands.

Lei saw him again with his hood up and she let out a sigh. “Why can’t he just set the damn thing down?” she thought to herself. “Stress getting to you red eyes?” she asked him.

“Not really.” He replied to her. His hands were in his pocket as he looked to the ground. The red eyes on his face shone apart from his face being a bit covered by the hood that he was wearing.

“You know, it will be actually easier to catch you if you keep wearing your hood like that. “You’ve seen the wanted poster right?” she asked him.

“Doesn’t really concern me.” He replied to her. “Can’t catch what you can’t keep up with.” Seiryu said to her with a smirk on his face.

Lei then went near him and handed him the plate of food that she brought along with her.

“You need to eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” She said to him and the hooded fighter took the plate from her.

“Right.” He said as he saw the food on the plate. “Stir fry.” He said out loud as he took the fork from the plate and started to eat. Seiryu’s eyes lit up as he had a taste of the food presented to him and he began to eat it a bit faster. The silver haired girl laughed a bit when she saw him eat. It was evident that he had been hungry.

“Good?” Lei asked him with a smile on her face.

“Yeah.” Seiryu said as he finished the plate immediately. “Gail’s cooking is pretty tasty.” He added and an immediate change of Lei’s face was seen.

“Excuse me, but I was the one who prepared that.” She said as she took the plate from him forcefully. The silver haired girl then turned away from him immediately as she made her way towards the door.

“Then your cooking is pretty tasty.” Seiryu said to her as he leaned his back against the wall once more. “Geez don’t need to be mad about it.” He added as he looked towards the ground again.

“Me mad?” Lei said to him. “Who said I was mad? No not me.” She tried to say calmly as she exited the room and a sound of a door closing was heard.

“Weirdo.” The hooded fighter said as he had a grin on his face.

The silver haired girl made her way downstairs back to the kitchen of the café. She saw Gail there who was washing dishes. She decided to set the plate on the sink as well and begin washing with her.
