Chapter 15 – Sightings

It had been night time already in the Truck stop that Seiryu, Lei and Draven were staying in and it was really hard to imagine how the three of them stayed there for such a long time. It turned out that Draven had some cash in his trench coat as he had their vehicle filled up with gas. He sat down on the cart attached to the motorcycle and he was as usual smoking his cigarette.

Seiryu leaned against the wall of the diner from the outside with Lei standing beside him. It would seem that they were just getting ready to leave.

She still had an uneasy look on her face because of their conversation earlier. Lei stil hesitated as she saw Seiryu fix up his hood. He ruffled his black vest and he had a serious look on his face as he did it.

“Hey.” She tried to talk to him as she played with a lock of her hair. Lei leaned on the wall behind her as well as she stood close to him.

“Being silent isn’t you.” Seiryu said to her as he looked towards the opposite side of her. His eyes shone a bright red.

“I just feel uneasy all right?” Lei replied to him.

“If this was about our conversation earlier today then don’t fret about it. It’s nothing.” He said to her as wind blew against his long brown hair.

Lei looked at him and he had calmer look on his face. His eyes radiated a bright red and his long brown hair, which looked a bit messy, actually suited him.

“I’m sorry red eyes.” She said to him out loud with the hope of him forgiving her.

“No.” Seiryu said to her coldly and this brought a bit of hurt inside her.

“But I-“ she tried to reason with him as she was now feeling uneasy once more.

“I’m the one that should be sorry.” He said to her with a faint smile on his face. Seiryu looked at her now as he saw her with a surprised expression on her face.

“What?” Lei wondered at him.

“I shouldn’t have shut you up.” He said to her. “I mean I could have told you nicely but you know, I didn’t.” he said as he looked away once again.

“I was just curious.” She said softly as she looked at him once more. “I mean it’s like you always have secrets to hide from us.” She said to him.

“It’s just my nature I guess.” Seiryu said to her. “It’s hard to find someone to trust these days, especially with my current status and all.” He said to her with a smirk on his face.

Lei put her hair behind her ears as she let the wind blow against it.

“Maybe you can trust me and Draven.” She implied with a smile on her face.

“Maybe.” Seiryu said as he sighed. “Yue and Elle were the ones I trusted truly. How come I feel the same vibe from her?” he thought to himself.
