*The lies I know that was told*

I rushed home after my mom called me to the police leaving my house. I ran inside to see my mother standing looking out the window with a blank stare on her face. I never seen my mother with the most devastated look on her face before. Inside, my heart was touching my stomach because all I could think about was the call i just got saying my father was dead. It wasn't true, it couldn't be I knew I was gonna walk in this house and he was gonna be sitting in the living room watching the sport channel smoking a cigarette. Sadly i was wrong...

"Mama what happened to him"? I asked as tears fall from my eyes. I rushed over to her and hugged her.
"Baby it was a accident he was hitting on me and things got outta control" my mother said with tears in her eyes. I pulled away and looked at her busted lip and red bruised face and knew her and my dad must have a bad fight.
"So mom what's gonna happen to you"? I asked.
"It was ruled as self defense Jasmine" she said not giving me no eye contact.
I looked at her weirdly "Wait... Where did you get a gun from"? She glanced at me then looked away fast.

Right then I knew something wasn't right I ran to Tiera's room and seen that she was missing. I rushed back in the living room and stared at my mother...

"Where's Tiera at"? I asked searching around for her, but she wasn't here. All her stuff was still in her room though so I knew she wasn't gone too far.
"She moving out. She doesn't even know me and her had little altercation and I told her to leave and don't come back" my mom said all in one breath.
Something wasn't right, two altercation in one night, i knew that bitch had something to do with this and i wasn't bout to let her slide tearing my family apart.
"But you and Tiera were so close why now"? I asked suspensionly.

My mother didn't even respond she just held her head low and walked out the living room went into her bedroom and close the door. My mother was never a good liar so I knew when she couldn't answer me, that was because she didn't wanna lie. I fall down on the couch and cried my heart out, my daddy was gone and never coming back.

Earlier this morning:

Me and Ash pulled up to the address Tiera had gave us and got out and walked up to the two story house. A young skinny chocolate girl answered  the door looked to about seventeen or eighteen. She looked like she had been crying, but hey that wasn't our business we was just here for Tiera's stuff.

"Can I help y'all"? She asked with a little attitude folding her arms across her chest.
"Yeah I'm Shontiera's homegirl this is my boyfriend we came to get her stuff" Ashley said in a calm voice. She looked at us confused but before she could ask anymore questions her mother came rushing to the door and let them in.
" Come right in her stuff is in that room" her mother said pointing towards Tiera's old room.
"Where's she at"? The girl asked.
"Jasmine that doesn't matter" the woman said.
"Um yeah that doesn't matter, but she's safe and she's with me" Ashley said glancing back at them before entering Tiera's old room. The girl Jasmine must of felt some type of way because she caught an attitude and stormed out the room.

We collected all the items out her room that we felt she needed and was outta there within fifteen minutes or so. Before we hit the door the young girl went on with more questions until her mother stopped her again. The Woman thanked us we said our goodbyes and left and headed back to King's spot.
