Chapter 15

                 Lexis

The phone rung three times before Tiera answered...

"Hello" she said through the phone.
I started crying "Tiera can you come get me please"?
There was a slight pause in the phone "Lex what's wrong? Why you crying"?
"Man me and Nelson got fussing and he hit me and shit" I cried in the phone.

I held a ice bag on the left side of my swollen face. It some how gave me a numbing tingling feeling, I wanted so bad to avoid the black bruise that was beginning to appear on my face.

"Wait hold up he put his fucking hands on you bitch"? Tiera yelled in the phone.
"Yes girl got my shit all fucked up" I cried in the phone.
"Oh bitch say no more I'm on my way" Tiera said before the call disconnected.

  Soon as I knew Nelson had left the house I called Tiera and told her to come get me. I packed all the stuff I had here and went and sat on the porch. I knew he wasn't gonna be back no time soon I decided to dip before he came back.
I wasn't on the porch for at least a good Ten minutes before I seen a nice ass black Acura pull up in front of his house. I squinched my eyes and stood up confused as shit of who this would be pulling up in front of his house.

The driver door flew opened and a mad Tiera jumped out and speed walked over to me.

               Tiera

I was laid back in the bed watching Empire while King laid sleep on my stomach with his arms wrapped around my body. I knew my baby had a long day so I let him sleep even though Missed him and wanted us to spend some time together.
My phone started buzzing on the nightstand I seen Lexis name pop up. I slide from underneath him and took my call in the other room so I wouldn't wake him.

"Hello" I said through the phone.

She started crying "Tiera can you come get me please"?

There was a slight pause in the phone "Lex what's wrong? Why you crying"? I asked.

"Man me and Nelson got fussing and he hit me and shit" she cried in the phone.

"Wait hold up he put his fucking hands on you bitch"? Tiera yelled in the phone.

"Yes girl got my shit all fucked up" I cried in the phone.

"Oh bitch say no more I'm on my way" I said hanging up the phone.

  Soon as I stepped back in our room King was still sleep on his side in the same position he was in when I left the room. I smirked at how sexy my man was even when he was sleep.
I slide on my black leggings, my knee boots and my short cut leather jacket and left the room. I grabbed my keys to my new black Acura that he had just brought me and left out the door like the mad woman I was.
I got to Nelson's house and saw Lexis sitting on the steps with her bag and a small bag of frozen corn on her face. I hopped out the car and walked over to her in a rush.

"Where he at"? I yelled.
"Come on Tiera let's just go" she said trying to push me back to the car.
"No I'm not going nowhere look at ya face" I said yelling, pushing her off me. I didn't play about Lexis period, I was loud as shit out front his house, hoping he would hear me.
"He's gone he's not even here" Lexis said looking away.
"Well good Imma be back" I said trying to push pass her in the house but she stopped me again.
"Can we please just go" Lexis said again low trying to push me to the car. "I don't want no drama please I just wanna go" she begged.

I noticed the hurt in her eyes and knew she really meant what she said. But something didn't sit well with me this wasn't the Lexis I knew. The Lexis I knew would be ready to burn ya shit down and I would usually be the one to wanna walk away.
But this day something was different I could feel it and even though I wasn't the person to let someone bring me outta character that changed when she called me.

I looked her dead in her face "Lexis I swear you better not come back no more". I said in a hype but meaning voice.
"I'm not now can we just go" Lexis said in a calm voice.

I helped her with her things we got in the car and I speeded off. I was pissed and Lexis knew it she kept glancing over at me but I didn't have any words right now. I pulled up to her mom's house about fifteen minutes later and helped her with her stuff.
She looked so lost and hurt I kind of felt bad for her cause she was my bitch she was my best friend and when she hurt I hurt but I meant what I said I didn't care how long her and Nelson had been together she better not let me hear that she went back to him.

I made sure she was set up in her mother's house I gave her a hug told her call me if she needed me and I left to go back home. Soon as I pulled back up at King's house. I seen the light in our room on so I assumed he had woke up by now. I opened the door and walked in to see him coming out the kitchen with a bottle of water, shirtless.

"Where you been at"? He asked in a raspy voice and low eyes.
"I had to help Lexis" I said walking up the steps.
He followed me up the steps and to our bedroom.
"Help her do what"? He asked posting up against the frame of the door.
"Her boyfriend and her got fighting and he hit her".
"So what you do"? He asked raising his eyebrows.

I turned and looked at him "I picked her up and took her to her mom's house".
He looked at me and lowered his eyes as if he thought I was lying even though I wasn't.
"So you didn't get in their fight"?
I shook my head no took a deep breath and shifted all my weight to one size. "No I didn't, I was going to but she wouldn't let me" I said.

He shook his head and took a sip of his water "Stay out that shit" he said in a calm deep voice.
I looked at him and he repeated him self as if I didn't hear him the first time "Stay out of it I'm serious. I don't wanna have to fuck her boyfriend up".
I looked down at my feet and bite down on my bottom lip. "You hear me"? He asked.

I nodded my head and looked up as he exit the room. I sat down on the bed and inhaled deep, I know King was just being protective over me, but when it came to Lexis i was always gonna there for her.
