Fate is coming, that I know
Time is running, got to go
Fate is coming, that I know
Let it go
Here and now
Under the banner of heaven
We dream out loud."Heroes are more than just stories, they're people. And people are complicated; people are strange. Nobody is a hero through and through, there's always something in them that'll turn sour...you'll learn it one day. There are no heroes, only villains who win."
― Joel Cornah, The Sea-Stone Sword.(._.)
(F/N) Day 158. The Bedroom and Kitchen.
"And from there it was nothing but a shit show. I don't know what happened but I woke up outside the city with a bag of supplies and a dead soldier with a note stuck in his chest saying 'You're Welcome'." My tone reflects the reason I try not to think on the story. On old friends.
"F/N...I'm sorry, I never would've asked if-"
"No no, it's fine. Needed to get that off my chest." I respond to Ruby with a not very reassuring smile. I'm lucky I'm disciplined enough to not let out tears.
"Do you still have those vials? And the recording?" Blake asks, to which I nod.
"Yeah. It's mostly theory on what the Agent would do to a recently infected individual. As well as the min/max effects of being infected, timeline for mutations and all that jazz." Blake nods.
"I'll give you it later. I don't know if you'll get any of it but hey it's not that hard to translate into English." I say with a short laugh which only spawns an awkward silence.
"Alright, I'll...see you girls in the Armoury, get you some ammunition." He says with a thumbs up, walking there.
Each of the conscious members of RWBY look at each other with ever growing concern before following F/N, their mood brightening slightly at the immediately obvious and new fact: They aren't going to run out of ammo anytime soon.
"Uhhhh...I know you're stockpiling and all, but is all this really necessary?" Ruby asks to which I snort in amusement.
"Ruby, it's never bad to have too much ammo and weapons." Yang replies for me to which I fist bump Yang.
Blake however is more caught up with the custom weapons on the wall from the ex-students, as well as the most recent additions.
"You've been collecting them?" Blake asks, to which I respond whilst digging for different equipment needed for this op.
"Yeah, my way of remembering them." I respond before finding the type of ammo I'm looking for and tossing Yang strips of the stuff which she catches easily.
"Does that mean...you killed all of them?" Blake asks if a bit cautiously, leading me to sigh as I pick up a type of ammunition Ruby's Crescent Rose should be able to use.
"Blake I want you to understand that they're already dead. They're not the people you knew before they were bitten. You have to defend yourself." I hand Ruby her cases filled with bullets. Each of them having to process that information.
This is why I don't want them out in the field yet. Not until they've processed the facts. I think to myself whilst looking at each of them.
You're a brave man (F/N). And now you have a reason to be more brave than you've ever been before. A bigger responsibility. They have to see what's happening sooner rather than later. It's for their own good.
I smile slightly at the man attached to my soul. If only I believed you. And with that I ask them if they need anything else, each of them nodding other than Yang. "Armed and Ready!" Her smile never ceases to make one appear on my face.
