'It was dark'

'And wet'

Drop

'Water? But wasn't it snowing?'

Drip

My eyes slowly peeled open to reveal what looked to be a sewer system.

'Were they that cruel to throw me into a sewer after I had excepted my fate. Couldn't they have left me to the beautiful snow to decide my fate. ' I thought.

Yet for some reason I no longer felt pain, no aches, and no fever. Confusion over sweeping my body as I stood from where I laid. Deciding upon myself to walk amongst the underground system before deciding my next move. It was quiet. Something I enjoyed after having been almost beaten to death. Heck. Maybe I am dead. It was hard to tell.

The sound of my feet splashing in the water as I walked through it echoed throughout the area. My eyes wondering to everything that caught my attention.

I continued like this, until I ended up in a large room with a large metal caged door at the other side of the room. A seal placed on the bared door.

"How interesting" I said aloud, as I walked all the way in. I continued to walk all the way to the door. Where I was meet with a pair of crimson eyes. Both staring at me with equal distrust and distaste and what looked to be curiosity and pity? Before I knew it a large claw was aiming itself for my face. I stood waiting for my end. Not caring anymore if it was to happen. Especially from the person who caused me such pain. Yet before it could strike me if stopped about an inch away from my face.

"You're not frighten?"

"Should I be?"

"Don't you realize who you are talking to you insolent brat?!" His voice was deep and crude. Somewhat making me want to shiver but I suppressed it.

"Yes, the Kyuubi no Kitsune. The very person who's caused me to suffer, well part of it. The other part can be placed upon my father. Anyways, may I know the name of the person who's allowed me take their place in the beating poll at least?" I asked. A thick cloud of silence casting itself between us before a deep rumbling laugh cut through the silence and the claw removed from my face.

"What is so funny?" I asked confused.

"You. To think someone would acknowledge me as a person and not a beast and even ask me for my name. What a bold brat you are. Your different then the rest of my jailers. Out of respect I'll allow you to know my name. It is Kurama"

"Nice to meet you. My name is Naruto Namikaze-Uzumaki, though in sure you already knew that." I replied. Giving my best smile I had at the moment. It was really fake more then anything. After a long silence of waiting between us, he finally spoke up.

"Hn I've decided" he started. Causing my face to tilt in confusion.

"I'll teach you to become strong. Your clearly smarter then you appear to let on"
