A U T H O R | Note

Hey guys. I feel really bad about not updating frequently. But I've been extremely busy between college and work. I've lacked motivation to write stories like I used to and was having a harder time getting anything done.

Naruto sat idly upon a tree branch near the meeting location, knowing full well that Kakashi wouldn't be there at the appointed time. Something the blonde had come accustomed to over the years of knowing the silver haired shinobi. While Kakashi was reliable in the sense of battle, and stable well being for Naruto, he was the last person to call upon when it came to being on time. He practically avoided showing up at the scheduled time like the plague. Naruto knew where he was most of the time and respected the alone time he took to himself. Just like how Kakashi also, mostly, occasionally respected Narutos time spent alone. While sitting with his thoughts weren't always the most ideal hobby to the young blonde, he did enjoy the calm that chased after the silence that came with having the time to ones self. He knew deep down that while being alone made things easier he'd prefer to be in the company of another person. Kakashi always seemed to know.

Kakashi wasn't hard to spot perched in one of the many trees around the area with lazy eyes focused intently on the group that slowly began to arrive. There eyes met briefly and for a few minutes the silver haired males face upturned into glee and waved happily. Naruto only rolled his eyes but shot a small wave that would have been missed by anyone who wasn't Kakashi.

This was one of the rare times where kakashi would essentially be both on time and late at the same time. Observing from afar with interest and his book no where to be seen while he concentrated on taking mental notes of everything before him. But this would most likely be the first and last time he'd arrive 'on time' for anything outside of varied important task given to him by the Hokage. And often times Naruto is sent off to find the older male.

Once he had found him eyeing up the new novel he'd been waiting for to be released since hearing news of its release date. The blonde wished he could regain the time lost looking for the other and to regain the last functioning brain cell lost in the revaluation of the truth.

Naruto sighed heavily at the memory. Having a hrs time forgetting the pervy face made by Kakashi once his hands had gotten a hold of the book, or how he instantly opened it in stifling glee of blushing madness. What Naruto liked to call the classic pervy sage revamp, consisting of narrowed eyes, blushing checks and a grin that reached from one ear to another, while Kakashi added a hand that would normally be there with the intention of hiding the growing grin, if not for his mask.

The very image only served to send a nauseating shiver down the younger shinobi's spin at the current thoughts roaming his mind. While his eyes trailed to the chosen meet up spot where Sasuke began to arrive and take it upon himself to lean up against the tree. Gloomy disposition encasing his features like a second pair of clothes. Naruto couldn't help but snicker to himself at the sight before him. He didn't hate Sasuke, in fact if the dark haired teen permitted it, he wouldn't mind having causal conversations with him. Sasuke reminded him of himself in the aspect of having something out of your control ruin a specific time of your life. A trauma that royally screwed up one part of yourself and would always find a home in your mind no matter how hard you attempted to rid them of your thoughts. That's what Naruto thought anyways. Sasuke faced the Uchiha massacre and came out as the soul survive of his clan remaining in the hidden leaf village. While Naruto... well Naruto was born only to have the nine tails seal in him. But he didn't mind it as much as he had the older he got. Realizing the false personas created by people to trick them into believing utter garbage spewed from their mouths in attempt to gain favor. He was a master at detecting such lies and knew better than to fall for bullshit that had freshly fallen from the lips of the those deceivers.
