"Hahah, it'd be interesting to say the least.. for now, just go with the flow. Ah. Kakashi is coming"
Naruto lifted his head and stood from his seat. Putting his hands in his pocket as he slowly made his way to the front of room. As he did, the door opened to a bright and falsely energetic teacher.
"Yo! Meet me on the rooftop in five minutes!" He happily said before disappearing. Naruto only signed in exasperation.
This was going to be a long day.
Present...
Naruto waited momentarily for Sasuke and Sakura to exit the room before casually scaling the wall of the school. His hands resting in his pockets while he hummed softly to himself knowing that Kakashi would be waiting for him at the top. His felt slightly better knowing full well that Kakashi wouldn't 'directly' out Naruto, due to their relationship. Virtually making him untouchable, until after the meeting. Than he was fair game, a sudden realization hit him that he completely dodge most of Kakashi's questions the night before, but Naruto had kept his promise. He was slowly adjusting people to the idea he wasn't a oblivious knuckle headed genin that wasn't worth the time of day. He was capable and very well versed in the way of combat, along with an abundant amount of knowledge collected over the past few years from various places. The thought of this only made him feel a little smug if not excited to share his vast knowledge with the other two. Wondering what it'd be like to be on a team with peers his own age.
Naruto wasn't particularly interested in most people his age, but it didn't mean he didn't want connections. He gripped and complained about everything, but it was his way of self defense. Sarcasm only goes so far before it brings you to a dead end. Although his excitement died down at having to work at their pace.
Kakashi stood lazily at the top of roof with his uncovered eye focused on the blond who slowly came over the side of the wall.
"You know that creates stairs for a reason Naruto" Kakashi said partially teasing.
"Pft. Stairs are an inconvenience, who needs em? Windows and walls are where it's really at!" He said grinning as he took his seat. Kakashi chuckled slightly, leaving them in a comfortable silence as they waited for the remaining two to arrive.
A few minutes later, the door was opened to reveal Sasuke and Sakura who only stared dumbfounded at Naruto's presence on the roof. The blond only continued to look forward, while placing his head into his right hand. His arm resting gently against his propped up leg.
"Dobe.." Sasuke started softly in confusion, but quickly ignored his own questions for getting this over with for the day. However, Sakura didn't feel the same way.
"How did you get up here? We left before you?? Where did you go—"
"Stop. I don't really thinks it's any of your concern..." Naruto started, receiving a pure look of utter shock and slight anger at the tone.
"Beeeesides.. you got to spend time with sasuke!" Naruto sent an apologetic look of sympathy towards the raven haired male, who only looked at him in a slight daze, but quickly accepted what the blond was doing. Sakura's face only lit up after remembering what Naruto had said.
He was right.
She had just spent alone time with Sasuke. Something no girl has ever achieved and all because Naruto hadn't followed them. At that moment it didn't matter where the other shinobi had run off to. He wasn't in the way of her time with Sasuke and she was thankful for it. She only smiled brightly before a slight blush took over her face. She twirled a small piece of hair in between her fingers and she looked to the Uchiha thoughtfully.
Naruto only sighed but looked on to Kakashi to get things moving along.
"Okay. Let's begin with some introductions along with likes, dislikes, hobbies and dreams." Kakashi said with little enthusiasm in his voice.
"Your up first fangirl" Kakashi said. She huffed in irritation before staring the older shinobi down.
"Why don't you go first sensei? So we can hear and example." She asked, curious about their teacher who choose to be late in sick an important day.
"Well.. my name is Kakashi Hatake, I don't particularly have any likes or dislikes, I don't want to tell you my hobbies and I don't really have a dream," he quickly said. Naruto snickered to himself, only catching the attention of his sensei that sent a warning glare his way. Sasuke noticed this slight exchange of interaction that would typically go unnoticed by others. He only stared for a moment before quickly looking away.
"Go ahead than" the silver haired ninja said. Naruto quickly covered the ear closest to Sakura, creating a concerted look of curiosity to plaster to Kakashi's face.
"Well... My name is Sakura Haruno my likes are" she squealed extremely loud. Allowing Kakashi to figure out just what Naruto was doing. "My dislikes are NARUTO BAKA" she said a little dishearteningly, remembering how he left her with Sasuke earlier. "My hobbies are," she once again squealed. "My dreams are" Naruto covered both ears for this one, completely convinced his ear drums were being brutally stabbed with Kunai as punishment anything he'd ever done. Sasuke only winced slightly and Kakashi stayed as composed as possible.
"Alright, your next gloom fest"
"Hn. Sasuke Uchiha, I don't have any likes or dislikes, hobbies include training.." he paused dramatically for a moment before continuing. "I don't have a dream. More like an ambition to kill someone" Naruto only found amusement in his words. Knowing exactly what he was talking about. It wasn't funny that his whole clan was massacred, that was, for the most part, a shame. No, it was the way he said it. So serious and completely unnerved as he stated it with a straight face. Completely dramatic. Naruto didn't even wait for Kakashi to call him next before he began to speak.
"The names Naruto Uzumaki! I like ramen, foxes and training, my dislikes include those who speak about things they don't even actually know about. My hobbies include training and playing with a silver haired dog I see around" Naruto grinned widely at the sudden twitch of Kakashi's eyebrow as he continued "my dream is to be the Hokage, believe it!!"
"Now that that is settled, we'll meet at training the training grounds at 8AM to begin training and don't eat breakfast or you'll get sick! See ya!" Kakashi waved as he disappeared into a puff of smoke.
"Don't you think it's weird that we
Shouldn't eat? I mean. We'll be training and you can't train on an empty stomach." Naruto said as he tried to throw a few hints. He watched them contemplate over his words before he left. Knowing Kakashi would be waiting for him.A U T H O R | Note
I honestly don't remember how most of it happened at certain points and don't want to look it up, so I'm just winging it.
BUT look at me! Updating this story a few days after I already did! I'm on fire. (Mostly since I started reading Naruto fanfics again. Lol)
