Gerard Way

Crash!

The red walls of the church collapsed. Shrieking wailed from the ladies, men popped up from their seats. The funeral was being crashed. Everyone kept on running around and moving, I didn't know what exactly was happening.

At the corner of my eyes, I saw them. The Iero family. They were the enemies of the Way family. We never got along from the beginning.

The Iero family was the cause of this funeral and now, they're crashing it and tearing it down.

They killed Helena, my grandmother. She had cancer and she was fighting a battle with her life and I believe she could've won if she was given time. She was everything to me.

The Iero family. Their youngest son was Frank, named after his father. I hate them from the bottom of my black little heart. He didn't have a mother. Who knows where that lady is? I've known Frank and his family since we were little. We were neighbors and we weren't allowed to communicate to each other. I don't remember why, but it was always like that.

The guy was short for his age. He was 17, going on 18 and I was 19. He had a nose and lip piercing. He had red around his eyes and I wasn't quite sure why he wore that makeup. He seemed really rebellious and punky. Maybe even shitty. He had a Mohawk, his Mohawk was black and the rest was bleached white. He looked like he hadn't gotten sleep in three days. He always gave me a look that gave me chills to the bones.

"Gerard! Come here!" My mother said to me, with fear. She grabbed my arm and dragged me.

I got my shit together and followed my parents and Mikey, my little brother(aged 14), out of the church. People were still in the church.

What did they want from us? Honestly, they killed her already so why can't they let us have a normal fucking funeral?

I would have helped everyone out safely, but shit. Whatever. It's up to the Iero family.

"What's going to happen to Grandma Helena's body?" I asked. The question turned out creepier than I thought it would sound.

"I honestly don't know. It'll be okay, she's not with us anymore." My mom said.

"But what if the Iero family takes her body and turns her back into life? Or what if she becomes a zombie?" Mikey asked. Mikey had a huge imagination that I loved. He was always thinking up of things. He was creative and curious. But, he was always quiet and shy. I guess it runs in our family.

"That won't happen," my father said.

"How are you sure?"

"Zombies don't exist and we don't have the technology to turn her back to life." He said with a stern and serious voice.

"Damn it, I left my phone in the church!" I exclaimed, "I'm going back into there to get it, don't try to stop me." I don't usually curse in front of my mother, it makes me feel bad when I do.

"Gerard! Come back! It's dangerous!" My mom said. Always listen to your mom. But not right now, I need my phone.

"Sorry mom!" I ran into the church, past the doors and into the chaos. I went to the seats where I was sitting at and looked around. What the fuck? It's not around here! I swear, if someone stole it, they'll be dead.

Fun fact, I always threaten people in my head. I mean, I could've killed like 25 people in my life, but I didn't. That's the sweetest thing about me. One of my qualities.

I scurried around the spot I was sitting at, avoiding bullets. It was useless, I felt like I would never find my phone. Then, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
