Your P.O.V.
It has been around one month since we admitted our feelings toward each other and things haven't been the same ever since. Red has been more protective, so much so that I can't go out on a supply run without at least two people guarding me, and the others are much nicer, surprisingly. I haven't seen Nick in a while, I wonder how he is holding up? Corey still glares at me because of how close I am to Red and for what I did one month ago, but I don't really care though.
Boom!
What was that?! It sounds like it came from the front of the base! "Red! I know it was you who took Corey away from us! Hand him over now!" Nick said. "I don't think so, Nick. Corey is not your prisoner to keep. He is our friend and we will protect him from you!" I said. "Jayden? Why are you sticking up for him?! You are the one who told me to bring him back to the CDC!" Nick shouted, confused. "Well, that doesn't matter now. I have a mission to complete and you won't stop me! That even includes taking our friends away!" I fire back. "Well, well, well. This is quite a change of pace, isn't it Nick? Finding that your once-friend has become your enemy," Red taunts. "Shut it Red! We have no time for your petty little games! Now, Jayden, why? You told me that you wanted to try and stop Red from eating people and that you would come back to us when you were done! What happened to that?" Nick spits. "*sigh* I'm still working on that first part, but, as for the second part, I am not coming back," I reply. "But why aren't you coming back?" Nick asks. "Because I would never abandon the one I love! But you wouldn't know anything about that Nick, would you? You spend all of your time focused on how YOU will survive! You are always concerned with the cannibals coming after YOU! Everything revolves around you it seems! Have you ever taken the chance to really get to know those around you? I don't think so! I know that survival is important, but so is keeping a lasting relationship within your group! The reason why I bring this up is that Shelby has constantly told me about how much she likes you, but you never seem to notice! So, to answer your question Nick, the reason why I am never coming back is that Red keeps a stable relationship with his team, and you only care for yourself." I scream, in tears at this point. "I-I" Nick can't even muster a reply. "See what you've done Nick? You have now successfully made a girl cry because of what you have done to her. I hope you are proud of yourself. Guards! Take them and put them all in separate prison cells," Red says.
