Chapter 18

The next morning Robert had a plane to catch to go back on set and I was lazily siting on the bed.

"Honey, I'm pretty sure you have to drive me back to the airport and the fact that you keep staring at that ring won't help me get back on set.." said Robert while getting dressed.

"But Robbie...look at it and how it sparkles. It's so shinny and new..."Robert just let out a laugh and continued with whatever he was doing. I was too busy looking at my ring and planning our wedding inside my head.

"My precious.." I half whispered while rubbing the ring and trying my best to sound like Smeagol.

I looked at an amused Robert while  imagining him in a tux. He looked handsome in my imagination. Well not only in my imagination. He was handsome in his jeans, beat up AC/DC  t-shirt and leather jacket. He looked divine and he will be my husband.

"You started to drift away from reality once again babe. But seriously...I need to get to the airport"

I snaped back to reality and got dressed. After a while we were in front of the airport once again.

"I'll be back in 4 months. Now I gave you a project so, that means you won't feel how time passes and I will be home before you can even say <<I do>>" He kissed the tip of my nose.

"I know honey. Can't wait for you to come home and make a decent man out of you.  Come on. GO! so you can come back already" I shoved him in the direction of the doors. He just stood there looking at me.

"You will be the most beautiful bride in the world. Now I understand why you were zoning out on me this morning. I'll go honey. See you in a itsy bitsy tiny 4 months" The kiss was longing and lingering. He left me wanting more, but I knew we were in a public place so I just smiled and waved at him . 

I got in my car and called Elsa.

"Heeeeey Elsa! Wanna meet me at Starbucks, in let's say, 30 minutes? I have something big I want to share with you!!"

"Ohh you are excited. Yes. Let's meet up. I was actually about to call you with the same idea."

"Okay Els. See you in 30 minutes"

I went inside the first bridal store I could find and I bought something special for Elsa. We've been best friends for a while and she is like the sister I never had. She deserved something extra special to give her the big news.

"So why are you so freaking excited about Jo?" I said nothing and just handed her the wrapped gift.

She unwrapped it and stared in shock. 

"Oh my God Jo! You and Rob are getting married?" she said excited.

"Neah...I just went and bought you a Bride's Maid t-shirt for the fun of it. "I said in a sarcastic tone.

She just looked puzzled at me.

"Please show me the RING! THE RING!"

I just laughed at her excitement and showed her my finger. It was the most beautiful ring in the world. White gold with a heart shaped diamond in which he engraved the letter D from Downey. On the inside he wrote " Mine until the end of days and after.". It was absolutely fabulous.

* Meanwhile*

The entire flight back I only had her on my mind. Jo in a beautiful white gown walking down the aisle. I opened my eyes slowly and looked at the puzzle piece I had on my necklace. We were destined to be together. We were bound to find each other. She is so perfect and I almost screwed everything up when that fan came to me. Well she wasn't technically a fan, but that's what Jo thinks. I lied to her, but I couldn't just tell her that she was one of my crazy exes. You know the type?
