The Chronicles of Two Broken Wings { Robert Downey Jr.} [First Book]

Chapter 5

I woke up the next morning day dreaming. I took my shower and headed to the kitchen. As I opened the door Robert was standing in front of my stove making me coffee. He somehow managed to see that I was out of cigarettes and a new pack was waiting for me on the table.

"Good Morning baby! Slept well?" he asked while still looking at the pot that was standing on the stove.

"Good Morning! Yes! I had this awesome dream that this hot guy was sleeping by my side but I woke up and I saw nobody so..." He interrupted me with a kiss, a kiss full o passion.

"I would never do that to you. Waking up next to you was the best thing that happened to me in months". 

I sat down at the table as he was pouring us coffee into mugs. I lit a cigarette and sighed thinking that I would eventually have to leave for work. 

*I'm on the highway to hell...* I jumped at my phone's ring tone.

"I really need to change that. It scares the living crap out of me every time it rings" Robert was just looking at me deeply, like he wanted to absorb every essence of me.

*Hey boss! What's up? The first time in months you call me at this hour*

*Good Morning Jo! Ohhh I just wanted to know how your date went because the guys at the office told me that some guy picked you up from work. Just wanted to make sure you are still alive.*

*I'm fine David. The guy didn't rape and murdered me. The date went pretty damn well. You can actually put me into the " committed" list. I've hit the jackpot* I was eyeing Robert as those words were leaving my mouth, just to find him smiling at me.

*Ohh well I would love to meet the lucky guy. You deserve some happiness into your life Jo. I'm glad you said yes to happiness*

*Well I found the one I need. I knew that from the moment I met him so yes, I do deserve happiness in my life, I guess*

*Jo you weren't getting ready for work, were you?*

*I was actually doing just that. Why?*

*You fool this is your day off. Now you have a reason to not come to work on your day off, like you always did. Just take the day off and enjoy his presence. Be happy. I'll see you tomorrow.*

*Ohhh s**t! I forgot it was my day off. Thank you for reminding me Alexandra. See you tomorrow then. Bye*

I turn around to face Robert. "Well it seems that today you get me all for yourself. It turns out that I do have days off. So what do you want to do?!? That's if you don't have other plans."

"I didn't make plans Jo so I would pretty much want to enjoy this day with you. Should we go to the mall or something? You do know that Christmas is coming in like 4 days!?!"

"Ohh crap I forgot about Christmas. To the mall we go. I have to buy presents for my mom and other relatives. I think I'm on another planet right now."

We got dressed and went out for a day at the mall. I started literally running to find presents for the people in my life. I took the liberty of getting Robert one because in all the commotion he just wanted another coffee so I let him go to a coffee shop. I went inside a jewellery shop and looked the beautiful necklaces they had there. 

I set my eyes on a silver one that had a puzzle piece on it. It actaully was a pair, for like you know, couples.

"Can I get that engraved?"

"Yes young lady. We can engrave it for you right now" I gave them the text and waited 10 minutes for those to be ready. As soon as I finished I started looking around for Robert. As I saw him I started smiling like crazy. He got up from his seat to take the chair out for me .*Ohh what a gentleman I have*.

"What would you like ma'am?" the waiter asked.

"I'll have a coffee and a Coke thank you!"

"In a moment"

"So how did the shopping go honey?"

"Well I never ran that fast in my life. To be honest I had to make a 5 years old boy cry because he had the only Lego Police Station in the store and I know someone that would enjoy it as a gift. His mom told  him to let it go because he already has it at home but the stubborn kid wouldn't let that damn box go. I had to buy him a Happy Meal in exchange for the Police Station." Robert was laughing so hard by now I thought he would fall out of his chair.

"You took toys from a kid Jo? Seriously? You get more funnier than this?"

"I did not take it Downey. The mother said it's okay because he already has it. You know how stubborn children are. I just offered something else in exchange. Stop laughing."

"I can't baby. Sorry. My girlfriend had to bribe a 5 years old. Oh My God. Best day of my life."

"Laugh all you want Downey because you ain't getting anything for Christmas if you're doing this"

He instantly stopped laughing."But I was a good boy baby. You can't do that to me."

"Ohh watch me Stark"

We finished our coffe's and made our way back to my place. On the way we went to his hotel for him to get the rest of the things. I was okay with him staying at my place while he was here.

"I was supposed to go back home for Christmas Jo" I started feeling sad. Our first Christmas as a couple, but apart. 

"Don't get sad Jo. I just called to change my tickets for the 7th of January. I really want to spend Christmas and New Years Eve with my baby. I don't want to spend it miles away from you"

I hugged him tight. " Jo-Jo me needs air. If you want to have a living boyfriend that is"

"Sorry Robert. I just got caught up in the moment. It's the first time in 9 years when  someone does such a sweet thing for me."

How did I manage to end up with the most perfect human being in the history of this planet?

I hid his present and took out a big box from my attic. I opened it and took out my Christmas tree.

"Ohhh let's get all Christmasy Jo. Where is your laptop? It's time for some season carols."

It took us 3 hours before the tree and the entire house were done because we ended up goofing around with the decorations. Me being a photographer I wanted to catch every moment of our relationship. That's how I ended up with some hilarious pictures of Robert and us.

I couldn't believe it myself. I get to spend Christmas with my boyfriend, who is no other than Robert Downey Jr.. In just 4 days I'll be able to say that I had the best Christmas in my life, because I found the best guy in the world to call him mine.
