Author's note:

This is Florence and Haytham's song above (Time this with the first kiss Florence and Haytham have and you'll understand why)

Evie
"Mama." I look at the portrait of Shay we hung in the sitting room. "Are you ready?" I shake my head, my son standing before me with a soft smile. "We don't have to have the ceremony today, Nicola and I won't mind having just the family."

"It's not a family without your father," I whispered facing my oldest son. "God you look so much like him too." I walked towards him, touching his cheek. "You've always been the spitting image of your father." I smiled, as a tear fell on Patrick's cheek.

"I just want him back, I miss him." I nodded in agreement, pulling my son in for an embrace.

"I know I do too, son. So much, I thought I lost him once." I reminded myself, looking at my son. "I love you, son, come on." I smiled wiping his eyes, I see Shay in Patrick so much. "Nicola is waiting."

——

"I do, always!" I watched my son marry Nicola, looking at how happy he was. Nicola was a special young lady; I'm glad she made my son happy. Jacob sat beside me, holding my hand as my son Jacob sat on the other side.

"You now may kiss the bride." I smiled, as a tear fell down my cheek. Patrick places his hand on Nicola's cheek and kisses her. I closed my eyes remembering Shay, I missed him and I was never going to get over the death of my husband.

Shay was someone special he was a hero to me. He was more than life, he was the world to our family. I wish he were here with us watching our son create another chapter in his life, forming his own family. I had to be strong for my children, no matter how far they were from me.

"Patrick!" Nicola's cries brought me out of my head. She grabbed hold of Patrick's forearm. "I think he's coming." I rushed to Nicolá's side taking her hand.

"Yeah, he sure is, perfect timing." I smiled, for the first time in a week it was a genuine smile. "Patrick carry her back to the house, you're about to be a papa." Patrick smiled picking up his new bride.

"Hey angel, you'll be alright." Patrick was a rare Templar, not many people in the order get to see the birth of their first child. "You'll be alright I'm not going anywhere." Patrick hurried home, and the rest of us followed behind, I ordered Patrick to put Nicola in his bed.

We hurried into Patrick's room. "Can you feel the urge to push?" I ask as I order Mary. "Mary you know the drill, Patrick gets behind her she might need you, take your weapons off first," I ordered, this was a good distraction for me.

I looked at Nicolá, she was ready for the push. "Patrick, hold my hand." I laid the clothes down as I lifted Nicolá's dress. "I need to push Evie." I nodded looking at her. I remember the pain and I remember how scared I was with Patrick, Liam sat beside me as I delivered Patrick. I held his hand so tightly screaming for Shay, I never wanted Shay more than I did when I gave birth to Patrick.

"Alright, you're going to need to push." I guided her through her breathing, she followed along as Patrick got behind her. "Focus on your breathing but don't overdo it." She grabbed Patrick's arm. "Just focus on your breathing, just breath." "Just concentrate on breathing, and trust me, okay?" I nodded. "I'm gonna help guide you every step of the way, you're doing perfectly Nic." I nodded as Patrick kissed her forehead. "Alright, give me sharp pushes, hold onto Patrick." Nicola nodded, and I continued. "I can see the head, it's coming out." I smiled as I heard a laugh out of desperation. "Alright, I need you, to rest for a moment." She shook her head forcibly. "I know you're not but you don't have a choice." Patrick gave her another kiss on her forehead. "Just rest for a moment, your body will tell you when you need to go again."
