Chase POV
Fire seems to quickly seep into the room and I inhale the smoke.
"Get down!" I shout at Dean who quickly jumps to the floor. The room is shaking a lot and I faintly hear the sound of two retreating figures arguing, however due to loud bang the ringing in my ears means I can't listen. To my left I start to see the building cracking and crumble in the wall. I look over at Dean whose watching me and I point towards the nearest window that was away from the explosion, which thankfully has a tree outside it. We rush as fast as we can over to it and climb out, just as we heard another loud explosion as more smoke and fire appears. We stay in the tree for a few minutes watching as the building crumbles and falls apart before moving to get away as far as possible so don't get hit by any debris. We stop when we are a safe distance and watch as the building completely crumbles to the ground.
"What the fuck just happened?" Dean yells, clearly shaken by the explosion, and had it not been for him yelling I wouldn't have heard as the ringing in my ears is even louder after the second explosion. I place my hand on his shoulder in hopes of reassuring him. I look at what remains in the distance and notice the two black cars they arrived in are no longer there. They got away.
"What are we going to do?" Dean yells, clearly hearing the ringing too. I sigh knowing exactly where we need to go.
"Follow me!" I yell back and make my way to one of the cars parked down the street. I smash the window not caring much about cutting my hand and open the drivers door. I get in and unlock the car so Dean can get in aswell. I start the car and make my way to Alian's place. I know I'm going to regret this.
Deans POV
I watch where Chase drives, noticing we make our way into a more quiet area. He pulls into the side of the road before looking over at me. The ringing in my ears has faded a bit.
"Come on. We need to ditch the car." Chase tells me. I nod my head not really feeling up for talking and get out. I shut the door and follow Chase as we walk in the direction we just came from.
"They didn't know the explosion would happen." I state after a minute of silence.
"No." He sighs. "It means that someone else knows about the plan and doesn't like it. The question is who." We continue walking in silence.
"Could they have been targeting us though... they where at our place before we knew they were coming!" Chase bites his bottom lip at my words,
"Maybe. But there isn't a good reason as to why that we know of so I'm sticking to my theory." He tells me. I nod my head not wanting to say anything more on the subject.
"Where are we going?" I ask changing the subject.
"A friends."
"Who?"
"Don't worry you can trust her." He replies in a final tone which means the subject to be dropped.
"Is this said friend who you saw the other day?" I continue. Hid jaw clenched,
"Maybe. It doesn't matter." He says after a minute. I sigh annoyed by his vague answers.
"What about earlier with the text. Don't you think I should be involved now?"
"You are. And you will be." He tells me. We walk into a run down area and I notice that it is deadly silent, almost like no one lives there. At least that is until the sound of loud smashing and screaming is heard from an abandoned building at the end of the road. I look at Chase with a raised eyebrow but he is simply frowning in confusion. His pace picks up as he walks further towards the building and I try not to groan as we have to head to place where people are screaming. We walk up to the door and all I can smell is the bitter alcohol like an alcoholic live there. There is more screams and something else smashes before there is a lot of angry yelling in Russian... I think. Chase sighs and opens the door ducking and pulling me with him. The sound of something whizzing past my head makes me flinch and I look behind me to see an arrow on the ground. Hesitantly we both enter the building. There standing before me is the guy named Terin who was at the apartment when we move in, and a girl with long black hair that comes down to her waist. If she cleaned up she would probably be pretty but her hair was greasy and bushy like it hadn't been brushed in weeks. She reaked of alcohol, and was far too skinny to be considered healthy. Her skin was covered in what look liked dried blood and dirt, and her clothes where baggy pyjamas that looked well worn and filthy much like herself, and she wore a big oversized hoodie over the top.
"Chase!" Terin says looking over at us. "Can you please tell her that she needs to stop with the alcohol!"
"She wouldn't listen to me. She hates me." He mutters in reply. The girl whips her head towards us sending a glare that would make me flinch if it was directed at me.
"I don't hate you." She hisses. I get a look at her eyes and can't help but notice how much they look like Terin's. Brother and sister maybe? It's then that hits me. Terin's sister is Alian... but she dead.
"I'm sorry but who are you?" I ask knowing the answer to my question but needing to hear the confirmation. Her gazes shifts to me and all I see is pain in her eyes.
"So you decided trust him then?" She asks Chase not looking away from me. Her voice is thick with a Russian accent.
"Eka-Alian. There was an explosion. We had no where else to go." Chase answers both our questions.
