⠀not by race [ my race/ethnicity
⠀is confusing hnng i'll explain
⠀later ] –but i'm kind of like a
⠀weird mashup of different
⠀religious belief systems????

⠀when i was younger, we were
⠀just jewish ig. like my dad was
⠀jewish and my mama was a
⠀messianic jew ¿? but for a
⠀while we just focused on my
⠀dad's beliefs and went with that .

⠀tHen, one day when i was
⠀like 12 or smth my mama's
⠀like "nahhh screw this we
⠀believe in the good lord
⠀jesus in this household."
⠀[not an actual quote.] soooo
⠀yh now we a messianic
⠀jewish family.

⠀the difference is that
⠀messianic jews believe that
⠀jesus has come already and
⠀died for our sins etc etc.
⠀messianic jews still celebrate
⠀jewish holidays. some [like
⠀my fam && josanna!!] follow
⠀kosher, a set of what jews
⠀can't eat, and some don't.

⠀matter besides ME BEING
⠀JEWISH BUT NOT "LOO-
⠀KING JEWISH" DOESN'T
