Chapter 2!!!! Fanfic
CHAPTER TWOO WOOOOOAHAHA
Idk I'm weird
Alrighty we should start now
Rainbow zebras and and llamas with hats talked to me about the cheif chameleon named Lumpacious as we spun in circles on a merry go round in outer space.
I woke up becuase of the noise in the house. Holy crap my dreams are weird. Suddenly, I realized my head was rested on Luke's lap and I was laying on the couch. My nose immediately sent pain out when I touched it and I sighed. I froze when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Hey Luke have you seen Sk-Holy shit Luke!" Came Olivia's voice.
Crap. Crap. Crap. I felt Luke shift.
"Sh!" He insisted. "Skylar's sleeping!"
"Yeah!" Olivia scoffed. "Sleeping on your crotch! What did you do? Did you guys-,"
"No! She was getting water last night and I heard her and thought we were getting robbed or something, so I..I um."
"You what?!"
"I hit her nose with a baseball bat."
Olivia burst out laughing. I wanted to feel mad, but it was pretty funny and I would have done the same.
Luke groaned. "Don't laugh! I feel absolutely horrible!"
Olivia gasped for air and calmed down.
"Alright, alright. And you're shirtless and sleeping with her on the couch becuase...?"
"I...we were out of paper towels so it had to take my shirt off to stop the blood."
I peeked my eyes open and looked over at Olivia. She was looking pointedly at the pile of paper towels on the coffee table in front of us. I stifled a giggle.
"I found those after!"
"Sure! You know what? Just....forget it. Don't hit any more of my friends with a bat ok? We don't need more broken noses."
"It's not broken!"
"Shh." Olivia said, pointing up. "Just go to your room."
She walked away into the kitchen and I started to pretend to wake up when Luke started whispering.
"Sorry babe. Won't happen again." He muttered in my ear as he set his lips gently onto my forehead. I could feel the blush form, and I was glad he left right after. I got up, faking morning noises and stretching out, cursing Olivia's horribly unsleep-comfortable couch. I walked into the kitchen, running my hands through my hair and yawning. I winced as I felt the pain grow.
"Morning, zombie bride. You look AWFUL." Olivia chirped from behind her bowl of cereal.
"Thank you, that's always a great thing to wake up to when you've been assaulted by your best friends brother with a baseball bat at 5:30 in the morning." I muttered, placing poptarts in the toaster.
"You're welcome. That bruise looks nasty."
"It's that bad?"
"Worse." I checked my reflection using the silver outside of the toaster and groaned. A mix of blue green purple and brown swelled over my nose. I was still examining the damage when the toaster pinged and popped out the poptarts.
"Well. Tell Luke I totally appreciated the face accessory." I said with sarcasm, rolling my eyes. I did the show of hate for Olivia's sake, but inside I was exploding. Luke liked me! Or did he? Was he just being nice? Should I-
"Oh yeah!" Olivia said, interrupting my thoughts. "What's up with that? I mean, it was no boys night."
"I know, I know, sorry." I wrapped my poptarts in a paper towel and grabbed my purse. "I gotta go to work, but I'll probably spend the night again if that's ok. My moms on a business trip." Olivia nodded. I was 17, so I was technically allowed to be alone, but I liked being at Olivia's as much as possible. We had been friends as long as I can remember, and whether we were doing something or just sitting there we kept each other happy.
I grabbed my car keys and drove home to change, then going to Starbucks where I worked.
"Sky!" Michael, my coworker, shouted.
"Mikeyyyy!" I yelled, shooting him hand gun signals and laughing.
"You're working the drive thru today!"
I groaned, flicking his perfectly styled purple and black hair.
"It was your turn!"
"Yeah, well, whatever. I decided it's yours,"
I pouted, but agreed and went over to the window putting on the headset. Id said the same thing to him multiple times.

I untied my apron and slung it over my arm, going over to the customer side of the counter and forcing Michael to make me a Salted Caramel Frappe. The little bell on the door rang and Calum walked in. Calum was Michael's friend an he came here a lot, which made me question whether or not he had a real life sometimes. I raised a hand in greeting as I sipped my drink and sat in one of the spinning counter stools.
"Skylar! Hey! Love the new face addition! It really brings out the brown in your eyes!" Calum teased.
"Calum, really, my eyes are green." Calum just laughed and walked behind the counter to help Michael.
"You know you aren't allowed back there?"
"You know you've been saying that every day for six months?" He smirked. I laughed and Michael turned back to me.
"So, sky. Do tell. How exactly did this bruise come to be?"
"Don't even try being proper, Michael."
"Alright then. Who sharkeisha'd your face?" I laughed.
"That's better. And it was-"
"Me."
I spun around in the swivel chair and saw Luke standing next to the chair next to me.
"Oh hey Luke. I'm on break." I said, but all i could think about was the kiss.
"Yeah, I know I just wanted to see how you were doing."
"You did this to her?" Michael angrily questioned.
"What the hell man!" Calum yelled from the smoothie machine.
"No, no it was an accident!" I quickly said, "And Calum! Quit stealing strawberry smoothies!"
Calum laughed, sticking a green straw in his cup and taking a long mocking drink. I glared and everyone laughed.
"Skylar," Luke said sitting next to me "I just wanted to make sure you know that I'm really sorry. I thought you were like a robber, if I knew it was you I wouldn't have hit you with a baseball bat, I swear."
I just smiled.
"No, no, it's ok. It's totally fine." And it was. Best night I've had in a long time. It was totally worth the gross souvenir.
"A baseball bat?" Michael said, holding in a chuckle.
"Shut up." I glared. "Um, Michael, this is Luke Hemmings, Olivia's brother. And Luke, this is Michael Clifford. Coworker and full time ass."
Michael chucked a drink stirrer at me and I ducked, dodging the hit.
"Luke Hemmings? THE Luke Hemmings?" Michael said, faking a squeal. "OMG Luke it is SO good to meet you I've heard-"
I blushed as Michael made fun of my crush
"Shut. Up." I glared and Calum laughed, high fiveing Michael. I saw Luke blush next to me and I sighed.
"Alright, well, I have to go work the drive through. See you later?" I muttered, turning to Luke. He just nodded as both of us were embarrassed. I spilled some of the leaking macchiato machines leftovers over Michael's shirt.
"Oops!" I winked, running back to the drive thru.
