CHAPTER THREEEEEEEEE
Hey guys Emily wrote this but she's lazy and she's stuck shopping with her family so I'm updating for her
Let's get started!!!!!
I pulled into Olivia's driveway at 3:00. I opened the door and was surprised to find Snickers and Maudy, two of Olivia's puppies, were sleeping for once. Arabella crawled over to me, stretching away the sleep.
"Hi cutie!" I said, leaning down to pet Arabella. Olivia had a thing for Arctic Monkeys if you couldn't tell.
"Thanks,"
I looked at the dog, trying to figure out how it talked. A laugh came from the end of the hall. My head jerked up, and my eyes met Luke's.
"Oh hey! I'm such an idiot. Dogs can't talk. I just..I don't know. Sorry?" I droned on, embarrassed.
"No, you're fine. Olivia's not home from work yet, she has the 'late shift'."
We both laughed as Luke rolled his eyes. Olivia hated her job at Taco Bell so much she called getting off of work at 4:30 the 'late shift', though it was nowhere near late.
"Well, I could come back later." I blushed, standing up.
"No!" Luke immediately said. "Uh, no, you should stay." He blushed and I laughed.
"Yeah, ok." I said, smiling at him and walking upstairs to Olivia's room. I changed into my 'homework' outfit, consisting of a loose t shirt, pajama shorts, and bare feet. I clicked on her radio and sat on her bed, pulling out my lit homework. Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High started playing and I laughed. Of course she had her Arctic Monkeys playlist in. I sang along quietly, but I quickly got into it. I pushed the book away, jumping off her bed and dancing around.
"You say you gotta get up in the morning, gonna have an early night, but you're starting to bomb it baby why'd you only call me when you're high?" I yell-sang into my microphone hand. I slid onto my knees and played the air guitar.
"Nice. You should join their band."
I jumped up, scared, and turned towards the now opened door.
"What the fuck, Luke! You scared the shit out of me!"
He laughed, holding up his hands.
"Sorry, sorry. I thought you were, like, breaking stuff up here."
I laughed walking to the door and crossing my arms. I stood on my tiptoes, aligning our eyes and poking my finger into his hard chest.
"Well, I guess were even now."
I winked, closing the door on his face.
"Wait, what?" He yelled, knocking on the door. I laughed, turning up Crying Lightning and ignoring him. He banged on the locked door, shouting questions mixed with my name. Eventually, he broke into the room and pinned me to the bed.
"What were you talking about? How are we even?" He demanded
I used my free hand to zip my lips.
"No! Tell me!" I just shook my head, lips pressed tightly closed.
"Alright then, you asked for it."
He let go of my wrists and started tickling my stomach.
I squealed, trying to wiggle away unsuccessfully.
"ALRIGHT I SURRENDER!!" I screamed, and he laughed, releasing me from his ticklish wrath. He rolled over and sat in front of me.
"Seventh grade." I sighed. "I caught you rocking out to Michael Jackson in your boxers."
Luke groaned.
"Really? Shit, of all the ways to embarrass myself..." He sighed and I laughed.
"No, it was cute."
"Whatever, just...try to forget about that."
"Never." I said with a wink. He just walked to the door, still embarrassed.
"Hey Luke!" I called, gaining confidence from his defeat. "I was awake this morning. When you were, like, arguing with Olivia and stuff."
He froze, hand on the doorknob.
"Oh." He said. I laughed, coming over to him and turning him around.
"You didn't mean it, I know. I hoped you meant other things though." He blushed.
"Sorry I embarrassed you. It won't happen again." I whispered, climbing up on my tiptoes to kiss his forehead before pushing him out the door.
