Chapter 23: Canceled?

"Mom we need to talk outside" I drag my mom palabas sa private room nila and I don't care what they think of me.

"Is this about Arjen?" tanong niya.

"Yes, definitely!"

"So have you decided to marry him soon? Well that's great! We'll celebrate!" Sabi niya.

"Mom No! Mom listen to me. I don't like him and he don't like me back. Mom, we're just friends! Can't you see na nasasaktan na yung tao? Tingnan mo siya mom, he is with the girl she loves. I want you to cancel the marriage." ang daming lumabas na words sa bibig ko ah.

Mom looked outside and then looked at me seriously. I can't read what she's thinking right now. I just need to be ready sa sasabihin niya ngayon.

"Cathrine... NO, Whether you like him or not? You have to marry him no matter what." sabi niya with her killer stare at me.

"Pero hindi pa ako tapos kumain!" sabi ni Dad and nag frown siya. Si Daddy talaga, childish pa rin sometimes.

"We need to hurry. Si Yaya lang ang nandoon." sabi ni Mommy.

"Ano ba talagang nangya..." naputol ang sinabi ni dad when mom drag her palabas.

When they are out, nag bow nalang ako at nagpaalam ng maayos. " Sorry talaga sa abala. Maybe next time nalang." O diba ang bait ko? Anyways, next time? I don't want to meet them next time with this situation.

When we are in the car, sobrang tahimik naming lahat while Mom is the one driving.

Nung nasa bahay naman kami, dad was the one who broke the silence.

"Uhm may I know kung anong kaguluhan ito? Well could it be! Oh no nasaan si yaya?! Nakidnap si yaya?!" sabi ni Dad tapos he is so serious. Ang cute talaga ni Dad and it makes me wanna laugh.

"Dad! Calm down. Walang nakidnap haha"

"We are here para mapagusapan ng maayos ang engagement nila." sabi ni Mom seriously. Well this time nag iba na ang mood.

"Mom, sabi ko naman sa'yo na a..."sabi ko at pinutol ni Mommy.

"Cathrine! I need your dad's opinion. Ano sa tingin mo dad? Gusto mo din bang maengage ang anak natin kay Arjen?" Tanong ni Mom kay Dad.
