The Funtime Duo

Chapter 3: The Circus Plaza

It was already past midnight when we finally arrived at the circus plaza. It was a full moon tonight and, all the the buildings in the distance were glowing with the glorious moonlight. I started walking through the entrance gate when out of the corner of my eye, I saw the ponytailed girl signal me.
   "Glad to have you on board stranger, i'm the ring leader, Circus Baby." She appeared to be the rather cheerful type but, I better not judge her just yet.
   "I'm Freddy, Funtime Freddy and this is Bon-bon." I remarked calmly with a confident smirk across my face. "So who are the others around here?" I questioned her curious to meet the others. She whistled and all the others came to the entrance.
   "This to my right is Ballora she is one of the dancers along with the Minireenas." I looked over to see her gracefully dancing around
"So who's the new guy in these halls." Ballora sang in time with some music that was being played.
"I'm Funtime..." I was shortly cut off by Ballora
"Who's this little cutie," she said ripping Bon-bon from my arm.
"I'm Bon-bon and this is my servant Freddy."
I gave him a death stare as they all started giggling at the tiny rabbits words.
   "And I'm Funtime Foxy," a sweet voice said with a slightly seductive undertone. I turned around only to meet the white fox face to face. I blushed slightly as she walked up to me and hugged me.
   "Hi I'm Funtime Freddy," I stuttered.
   "Sorry I'm a bit of a hugger." She said shyly
   "No problem it's fine." I said quickly as to not upset her.
   "Are you ok you seem to be turning a bit red?" She asked in a concerned tone but, I responded quickly to cover up my embarrassment.
   "Yes I'm fine it's just, kinda toasty in here don't ya think?" An innocent thing to say and not suspicious, for the most part.
   "It is rather warm now that you point it out." Baby remarked shortly after. "Foxy go turn the thermostat down would you please?" She said winking at me.
   "Sure thing Baby," and just as fast as she came she was gone.
   "So I will expect you in the main show room so I can partner you with someone later tonight, got it?" The speed of which her commands came was a bit odd... almost controlling. Although Baby walked off before I could say another word leaving only Ballora, Bon-bon, and me.
   "So you have a crush on Foxy don't you?" Ballora asked ending the short reign of silence. At those very words I started blushing and, I could feel my body heating up.
   "No I'm not it was just warm in here." I responded trying not to be obvious.
   "Don't lie to me dear I know when someone is in love." Again she started singing to a gentle tune. "If you ever need any advice don't be afraid to come ask me dear also, we're outside so what did you mean by in here." With those final words she danced off gracefully leaving only Bon-bon, and me.
   Who was I kidding, I'm in love with a fox.
