I walked back to the house and sat on the couch. I rubbed my temples. I waited for everyone to file back in here. Didn't take long before Daryl came in.

"Hey," he said, taking a seat next to me.

"Hey. Sorry for taking off the way I did. That guy was annoying the hell out of me," I said leaning into his chest.

"I know what you mean. Had I stayed any longer, I'd have punched his lights out," he said.

"I would have done the same," I retorted.

"So we gonna get this done?" he asked.

"Did Rick say when he wanted to get this thing done?" I asked.

"We're gonna set everything up within the next few days. Then we'll get going on it. Why? Getting cold feet?" he said.

I looked up at him.

"Hell no. I told you I wasn't gonna let you go out by yourself anymore. I ain't backing out for shit," I said.

He kissed my forehead.

"I'd feel okay if you didn't go, you know," he said.

"You aren't talking me out of this one, Dixon," I retorted.

"I just mean you don't have to go, if you don't want," he said.

I sat up and turned towards him, taking a seat on his lap.

"You mean to tell me, you wouldn't want me this close to you? Your bike vibrating underneath us..." I whispered in his ear.

He quickly grabbed hold of me and laid me down on the sofa. He looked me in the eye.

"Damn you woman and your wicked ways," he muttered.

I laughed.

"So it worked did it?" I asked teasingly.

He leaned in and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer.

"Hey. None of that in front of me," Rick said out of nowhere.

Daryl and I quickly sat up.

"Rick. We didn't hear you come in," I said fixing myself up.

"Yeah, right," he said.

"So what's up?" I said changing the subject.

"We went over the plan again," he said.

"Did that Carter prick ask you to repeat it a third time?" Daryl asked.

"No. We're gonna try and extend the wall on the far east side of the place. We'll work on that tomorrow. The next day we'll have a sort of dress rehearsal for the following day when we get this done. We want it done as quickly as possible," he said.

"The sooner the better right?" I said.

"Yeah. Carter's gonna be drawing up some more plans for the wall. We'll look at them first thing in the morning and head out," he said.

"Sounds good," Daryl said.

"Good. Now, don't let me catch you two like that again," he warned.

I rolled my eyes.

"All right, Rick fine. We'll just do it upstairs like always," I said getting up and grabbing Daryl's hand.

I led him upstairs. Once we got to our room, we flopped on the bed, looking up at the ceiling.

"Just realized it's too early to be up here," I said.

"You were on a roll. Didn't want to stop ya," Daryl said.

I looked over at him. I went and placed myself on top of him.

"Where were we?" I asked.

He quickly sat up and started to kiss me. His lips were so intoxicating.

"You got a lot to make up for," I breathed as I moved away to speak.

"I'll make up for it right now," he murmured.

He laid me down on my back and lifted his shirt off. I pulled him closer to me and continued to kiss him. Again we were interrupted by a knock on the door.

"You've gotta be shitting me," I said.

Daryl went and put his shirt back on as I made my way to the door. I opened it up and saw Carl standing there.

"Hey, kid. What's up?" I asked.

"Were you busy?" he asked.

I fixed up my hair noticing that he was looking at it.

"No. Of course not. What can I do for you?" I said.

"Could you watch Judith? She's in her room sleeping. Dad needs my help with something," he said.

"Yeah no problem. Is it anything serious?" I asked.

"I don't know. He didn't tell me much. Sorry if I interrupted anything," he said looking past me.

I turned and Daryl was standing right behind me.

"Don't worry about it," Daryl said.

"Thanks guys. I'll see you later," he said then took off down the stairs.

"That's the second time we've been interrupted," Daryl said crossing his arms.

"Well, third time's the charm right? We'll get it done next time," I winked at him.

He half smiled then kissed my cheek.

"Let me go check on Judith," I said.

I headed over to her room which was to the left of ours. I slowly opened the door and was surprised to see her up.

"Hey Judith. Carl said you were asleep. Did you just wake up?" I said going over to her.

She reached her arms up to me and I picked her up. I rocked her in my arms as she rested her head on my shoulder. Daryl stood by the door and leaned against the doorframe. I caught his look and was suddenly curious.

"What?" I asked.

"You're good with her," he replied.

"You want to hold her? I haven't seen you hold her since she was first born. Right after...Lori. You fed her her first bottle of formula," I said.

"You remember that?" he asked stepping closer to Judith and me.

"Of course I remember. I had to leave otherwise I would have been tempted to jump you," I replied.

He chuckled.

"You serious?" he asked.

"No. Well I guess...yeah," I said.

"So. You've had a thing for me for a while then," he said grinning.

"Don't flatter yourself, Dixon. Here take her while I go and get her something to eat," I said handing Judith over to him.

I headed downstairs to grab a jar of baby food then headed back.
